in those heel-less boots?
Hockey pet peeve: "when a teammate tips a puck in on you, which is exactly how my first collegiate goal against happened. Thanks, Copper."
in those heel-less boots?
AHH i just died a little inside. Michigan and Lady Gaga shoudl not be mentioned in the same sentence.
Is the MMB going to be dressed in raw meat dresses?
in French? I did always think some of the sexiest pix were in women's mags, but this is fascinating.
Edit: Though I may not be a fan of Lady Gaga, the MMB will perform admirably as always.
Week or so I have felt the awesomeness of waking up to the marching band practicing 'telephone', 'paparazzi', and 'bad romance'. It sounds really good I can't wait!!!
Nobody else thinks this is kind of bad ass? It's kinda funny when marching bands hit up the pop scene IMO.
I'm just glad we saved that performance for Notre Dame's fans.
Lady Gaga stuff. But on 9/11 the ND band puts on a really nice show respecting the anniversary of a pretty significant event in American history. And our band does a tribute to Lady Gaga. I only found two things disappointing during Saturdays game. The really drunk Michigan fan in the section next to ours who almost got thrown out, and our bands decision to pay tribute to Lady Gaga on 9/11......
A nice tribute? They played "Rhapsody in blue" and the theme from Hawaii 5-0. (it was a "coast-to-coast" theme). I'd hardly call that a "tribute" to the 9/11 victims and heroes.
Why not Lady Gaga? It's all just entertainment, and I find over-the-top patriotism from people who would never consider serving in the military more off-putting than a little pop culture.
Their 9/11 tribute featured a leprechaun on a surfboard.
'cuz it will be your halftime show for UMass, in all likelihood.
and to tell you the truth, this show sounds amazing. Boerma did a great job.
All you grumpy get-off-my-lawn types can jaw all you want about the music. We'll be playing music from last century soon enough.
Hate the music but LMAO at this post. Well played sir.
Now get the f*** off my lawn.
The implication in your statement - that Lady GaGa represents the best of this century's music - is highly disturbing.
Thanks for posting this. I promise when we do it this week for UMASS it will be much more polished.
Last time Michigan was at Notre Dame, MMB played the boy bands show. This year it was Gaga. Both years the MMB was received better than Notre Dame's band.
Love Gaga, this will be good.
I don't know who saw it live, but it was fracking incredible, and I'm not a GaGa fan.
Comments like this always make my day.
Haters gonna hate. Gaga owns all your asses.
Anybody who saw the show: I got a text from a fan who is something of a stick-in-the-mud and he expressed disgust and disbelief at the performance. I believe he suggested that some indecent actions were performed by those holding flags. Was there anything particularly racy or risque about the show? I've just watched the NBC and Jezebel versions and I'm seeing nothin'.
Lady Gaga is nasty.
