Ugly Wins Are Still People: Post-OSU Thread

Some subtle/quiet solid performances while others show a concerning trend. It's time for tempered optimism folks... Yeeeeeehaw!

His analysis of actual basketball being played is generally spot on.  More than once I found him breaking down in detail what I thought I was seeing but couldn't quite pick up on my own.  The drawback is when he tries to insert some humor into the broadcast and talks about mancrushes or gives things pet names like "Get Angry".

And all the joy within you dies
Don't you want somebody to love
Don't you need somebody to love
Wouldn't you love somebody to love
You better find somebody to love

We missed a shockingly large number of tap in/lay ups and yet... quietly won by double digits? akward.

I approve of seemingly accidently beating osu every time. forever. and ever.

a lot of OSU's hot start seemed like it was due to uninspired play by UM on the defensive end.  A couple times UM was slow on the transition defense and gave up a layup and an alley oop, and then a couple times in the half court OSU drove to the bucket and got a layup that wasn't contested very much.  They did hit a few outside shots but really imo, the lack of intensity/focus by UM on defense to start the game was a big part of OSU's hot start.

Yep to you and Snarling...

After their hot start, their offense came back to earth.  Yes, they had some good plays, as our defense was pretty bad at times until the mid-late 2nd half when they seemed to buckle down a bit, but their half court offense especially shined like it normally does; pretty dull and very little brightness.

Take the blinders off. That was far from a great showing except for Walton's nice run in the 2nd half, the LeVert steal, etc.

It doesn't take anything away from being gutty or gritty, but that doesn't mean you're playing your best basketball. We should ALWAYS be gutty and gritty.

Don't be a homer.

Nothing ugly about the 2nd half, except OSU's shooting.

Loved the level of disrespect we for Craft's outside shooting. The cushion we were giving him was embarrassing...for him.
