That's like, your opinion, man.
No one that has the slightest bit of taste or judegemnet could possibly like those awful ND unis. I can understand the minority that like our all yellow unis, but there's nothing that can justify ND's.

It took me a few minutes to figure out who was playing even though I knew ND should be playing Louisville. At least keep the general shade of green they use. Those are...different.

Yes, Notre Dame took the first prize for inexplicable craptitude.
But Michigan's Zubaz have made us a laughing-stock, after MGoBlog led with the story that indeed we had declined the adidas overture to outfit us in any of the awful short-sleeve and/or no-sleeve Zubaz ripoffs.
Eleven Warriors is having all kinds of good fun at our expense (as they are no doubt entitled); after so many MGoBloggers crawled out on the limb to declare ourselves better than the rest for having told adidas "no thanks."
So the Ohio State University Buckeyes are having a nice weekend watching basketball and looking just fine thank you very little.

That's a fact. They are laughing at us, precisely because WE were mocking the idiotic adidas template-design, just a few days ago. We got it started; we staked out the position of ridicule.
If the uniforms were an ugly fucking creation when we were laughing at them and saying how smart it was to avoid them, they didn't become acceptable just because our players put them on to go out and lose a very ugly game.
This stupid fucking idea of a uniform wasn't a Michigan idea. It is a corporate template that we agreed to. There's nothing "Michigan" about it.
I thought they were ugly as hell, from the first sight. And I am not going to change my mind just because our guys wore them. I still want to know how the decision was made. Who decided? What was the financial pressure/opportunity? What was the contractual pressure/requirement?

ND's uni's were smack-you-in-the-face ugly, but Cincy's were the kind of well thought out, purposeful ugly that stays with you for a while.

I know that's the stock answer. "Money." It's what everybody says.
"How much?" is my question. What were the consequences for Michigan if the Athletic Department had said, "No; sorry, but we think that looks like crap." How much money may have been riding on that decision?
And I'd ask if it were even possible. It is interesting to watch IU progress through the tournaments during Zubaz season. Whether they could opt out; what went into any decisions on their part; whether IU thought it a matter of "money."
What is the net benefit out of a discrete choice like this one with the adidas Zubaz?

I can't really come up with a description or alalogy that is better than the ones everyone here has come up with, so I will "defend" them. Their only saving grace is that they have people talking about Notre Dame basketball. It's not like they have done all that much to distinguish themselves this year, other than outlasting Louisville in five overtimes.
Another silver lining: the color would be great in the WWE if they could find a gimmick to use it with.
