UConn game and UM NFL captains

Submitted by Michigan Shirt on

So I have a question about the Michigan vs UConn game. I remeber reading a few weeks ago that Rich Rod was trying to bring back all the current NFL alumni has honorary captains for the UConn game, does anyone have any further info on how many players, if any, will be attending?

I have been looking online but I haven't seen anything on this (no big surprise there).

I hope Woodson for out first game to inspire our defense a bit.

Just a few more days!!!!  Thank God.

When I first read this I thought "Getting 20 to 30 NFL guys from across the league together will be tough." Then I checked mgoblue and counted 51 alumni currently in the NFL!

In short, I doubt everyone will be there but here's hoping.

Given that this is the rededication game for Michigan Stadium, I could see the athletic department inviting everyone back for the ceremony.

Of course, RR could use this to get this year's roster acquainted with lots of alumni greats.  The NFL is off, after all, as every team will play their last preseason game on Thursday.

Any of the NFL alums would be an awesome way to start the season.  Definitely hoping to see C.Woodson though.  Maybe he can show up in secret and throw on the number 2 jersey and make it happen.  GO BLUE
