New head coach for Arizona
October 20th, 2011 at 10:21 PM ^
Wow, this Arizona running back is a beast or what
October 20th, 2011 at 10:44 PM ^
I guess if gholston was playing in this game, he would be ejected on the opening snap
October 20th, 2011 at 9:23 PM ^
zona may be the best 1-5 team in all of division 1 football. 3 loses to top 10 teams and losing there coach, if the can somehow win 6 games would be a great season considering.
October 20th, 2011 at 9:24 PM ^
Cali schools are like florida schools to me. Always fun to watch them get a nice beat down. 14-0!
October 20th, 2011 at 9:29 PM ^
Franklin runs a lot like V Smith.
October 20th, 2011 at 9:32 PM ^
needs to start winning ASAP. These teams are both top 20 offensively in FEI and triple digits defensively. Shootout tonight?
October 20th, 2011 at 9:34 PM ^
I just love the story about the ad he took out in the LA Times and put USC on notice and has basically shat himself since. HAHALOL @ both LA teams.

I guess Slick Rick needs to take some lessons in pointing from Hoke.
October 21st, 2011 at 11:27 AM ^
He's long gone after this season, maybe before. I've heard a few times that the second he gets his 7th loss (losing bowl eligibility) he'll be toast.
He has 4 losses so far, and still has to play ASU and USC. That means he needs to win all three of Cal, Utah and Colorado. I doubt that happens.
October 20th, 2011 at 9:39 PM ^
Arizona is horrible. I'm surprised they have a 14 point lead on anybody. UCLA isn't that great either.

HAHA, So you have you moved your mini fridge closer to your computer/desk so you don't need to get up and get beers anymore?!
October 20th, 2011 at 9:46 PM ^
I'm with the OP. I watch every Thursday night game and sometimes the Friday night games if I'm not out with friends somewhere. There is nothing better than college football.
October 20th, 2011 at 9:49 PM ^
Up high brah, JK. Yeah my marriage sure takes a beating from my addiction but the season is so damn short. It hit me today that we only have 2 months left of regular season CFB.

This game seems like its purpose is to answer the question, "Whose defense genuinely blows and whose simply stinks?"
October 20th, 2011 at 9:59 PM ^
Looks like UCLA might be winning the battle of who blows harder.
October 20th, 2011 at 10:02 PM ^
indicates that UCLA has allowed 292 yards...early in the 2nd...I suddenly feel better about our 2010 defense.
October 20th, 2011 at 10:06 PM ^
UCLA's defense didn't have to do a thing, but that's because they haven't done a thing.
October 20th, 2011 at 10:13 PM ^
colicky infants with helmets would be more effective than the UCLA D.
October 20th, 2011 at 9:56 PM ^
being a huge nerd and gametracking. Yes, I'm GAMETRACKING a game between UCLA and Arizona. On my tv is Parnormal Activity 2. Just re-watched #1.

A thread for a meaningless football game, but no world series thread?
<br>
October 20th, 2011 at 10:13 PM ^
because for Tigers fans, this World Series would be like watching 2 people who aren't you have sex.
October 20th, 2011 at 10:39 PM ^
Ha, I don't quite get the analogy.
Don't most people enjoy that? Yeah, it's not as good as engaging in the act yourself, but I suppose its the next best thing!
October 20th, 2011 at 11:49 PM ^
Are both hot chicks?
October 21st, 2011 at 12:13 AM ^
You don't watch porn bro?
I was watching the Dan Patrick Show today and he said something along the lines that the average age of the World Series watcher is 54 years old this year. Pretty shocking. Then I thought about it. I'm 22 years old and I watched the UCLA-AZ game, contemplated my fantasy team, played some Arkam City (which btw is you're a gamer, get this game), and just generally chilled. The World Series was the farthest thing from my mind. It's not like with any other sport though. NHL, NBA, and SB all get my undivided attention even when my teams are out. I'm not as emotionally invested obviously but I still care enough to watch a 3 hour game or I'll pay attention if I'm at a bar. I considered my group of friends and all are the same way--could care less about baseball, watching all of the NBA and NFL Playoffs (to a lesser extent the NHL but most of my friends I made in college were from places where hockey wasn't big).
Younger people don't care as much anymore about baseball. I'm a fan, I'll watch 9 innings of the Royals-Tigers in mid-July on a Monday (let's be honest, what the hell else is there to do?) but really, I find myself absolutely disinterested in the WS.

Post 24 more times and you'll be a trusted user. Then you can start one! BTW, what is this World Cereals you speak of?

The manager for the soccer team just missed a 39-yard attempt wide right. That speaks volumes about the state of UCLA's soccer program.
October 21st, 2011 at 3:00 AM ^
Uhhh... They're the best in the Pac-12.
October 20th, 2011 at 10:21 PM ^
Rick might be gone next week too. Damn they look bad.
October 20th, 2011 at 10:21 PM ^
Welcome to Los Angeles, Mr. Rodriguez!
October 20th, 2011 at 10:32 PM ^
That is certainly interesting. He could also end up at Arizona. They need a new coach.
October 20th, 2011 at 10:37 PM ^
I'll watch whaterver team he coaches/coordinates next year.
October 20th, 2011 at 10:21 PM ^
UCLA has the deer in the headlights look on the sidelines.
October 20th, 2011 at 10:27 PM ^
Now they look like deer smear on the freeway.
October 20th, 2011 at 10:28 PM ^
Well, this game certainly sucks now.
October 20th, 2011 at 10:31 PM ^
Those LSU players are now suspended INDEFINITELY. They tested positive for marijuana. Tyrann Mathieu was well on his way to being a top 10 pick in the draft, so I wonder if this will have an effect on that.
October 20th, 2011 at 10:34 PM ^
What?! I thought it was K2?
October 20th, 2011 at 10:53 PM ^
it was, synthetic marijuana is what it says in all the reports I've seen
October 21st, 2011 at 9:37 AM ^
Does the Mad Hatter the eat synthetic turf? Hopefully LSU doesn't visit Boise St. anytime soon.

Big fight. This'll be in the news, along with Arizona's stirring rebuttal of absolute futility.
