Any other CFB Junkies watching tonight?
UCLA - Arizona Open Thread
New head coach for Arizona
Wow, this Arizona running back is a beast or what
I guess if gholston was playing in this game, he would be ejected on the opening snap
zona may be the best 1-5 team in all of division 1 football. 3 loses to top 10 teams and losing there coach, if the can somehow win 6 games would be a great season considering.
Cali schools are like florida schools to me. Always fun to watch them get a nice beat down. 14-0!
Franklin runs a lot like V Smith.
needs to start winning ASAP. These teams are both top 20 offensively in FEI and triple digits defensively. Shootout tonight?
I just love the story about the ad he took out in the LA Times and put USC on notice and has basically shat himself since. HAHALOL @ both LA teams.
I guess Slick Rick needs to take some lessons in pointing from Hoke.
He's long gone after this season, maybe before. I've heard a few times that the second he gets his 7th loss (losing bowl eligibility) he'll be toast.
He has 4 losses so far, and still has to play ASU and USC. That means he needs to win all three of Cal, Utah and Colorado. I doubt that happens.
Arizona is horrible. I'm surprised they have a 14 point lead on anybody. UCLA isn't that great either.
Are you the real playbyplay from liveblog?
But is batman PbP? That is for you to figure out....
but...i may be drunk and enjoying the weekend after my exams...hint...hint...
How big is your house/apartment/condo?
All you need to know is I'm an alcoholic grad student who does the Saturday PBP for the MgoLiveBlog...
HAHA, So you have you moved your mini fridge closer to your computer/desk so you don't need to get up and get beers anymore?!
Up high brah, JK. Yeah my marriage sure takes a beating from my addiction but the season is so damn short. It hit me today that we only have 2 months left of regular season CFB.
This game seems like its purpose is to answer the question, "Whose defense genuinely blows and whose simply stinks?"
Looks like UCLA might be winning the battle of who blows harder.
indicates that UCLA has allowed 292 yards...early in the 2nd...I suddenly feel better about our 2010 defense.
being a huge nerd and gametracking. Yes, I'm GAMETRACKING a game between UCLA and Arizona. On my tv is Parnormal Activity 2. Just re-watched #1.
A thread for a meaningless football game, but no world series thread?
because for Tigers fans, this World Series would be like watching 2 people who aren't you have sex.
Ha, I don't quite get the analogy.
Don't most people enjoy that? Yeah, it's not as good as engaging in the act yourself, but I suppose its the next best thing!
Are both hot chicks?
You don't watch porn bro?
I was watching the Dan Patrick Show today and he said something along the lines that the average age of the World Series watcher is 54 years old this year. Pretty shocking. Then I thought about it. I'm 22 years old and I watched the UCLA-AZ game, contemplated my fantasy team, played some Arkam City (which btw is you're a gamer, get this game), and just generally chilled. The World Series was the farthest thing from my mind. It's not like with any other sport though. NHL, NBA, and SB all get my undivided attention even when my teams are out. I'm not as emotionally invested obviously but I still care enough to watch a 3 hour game or I'll pay attention if I'm at a bar. I considered my group of friends and all are the same way--could care less about baseball, watching all of the NBA and NFL Playoffs (to a lesser extent the NHL but most of my friends I made in college were from places where hockey wasn't big).
Younger people don't care as much anymore about baseball. I'm a fan, I'll watch 9 innings of the Royals-Tigers in mid-July on a Monday (let's be honest, what the hell else is there to do?) but really, I find myself absolutely disinterested in the WS.
Post 24 more times and you'll be a trusted user. Then you can start one! BTW, what is this World Cereals you speak of?
You put that through the uprights ... oh it's another team. Proceed.
The manager for the soccer team just missed a 39-yard attempt wide right. That speaks volumes about the state of UCLA's soccer program.
Uhhh... They're the best in the Pac-12.
Rick might be gone next week too. Damn they look bad.
Welcome to Los Angeles, Mr. Rodriguez!
I'll watch whaterver team he coaches/coordinates next year.
UCLA has the deer in the headlights look on the sidelines.
Now they look like deer smear on the freeway.
What?! I thought it was K2?
it was, synthetic marijuana is what it says in all the reports I've seen
The Mad Hatter must have been sharing his grass.
Big fight. This'll be in the news, along with Arizona's stirring rebuttal of absolute futility.
I have never seen a fake ref in my life, I will never forget this. Hold on kids this ones not over!
Dr. Lou . . . Ouch!
Anybody know the release date for 2011 Hopslam? I couldn't find anything with a quick Google.
Typically its a February release, go to bells website:
I'm very jealous that my first post didn't include a link to Bells. Thanks for that, though. Last winter was the first time I had it and I thought it was out sooner in the year.
How good is this stuff? I feel like I'm missing out on good beer since they don't Bells available in California.
World class, in my opinion. I haven't gotten to try a lot of the west coast stuff, but from what I've had from the midwest and trying to get through the top European beers on BeerAdvocate, it's as good as (almost) anything else I've had.
Last year it was January 10th, from the brewery, so maybe a little longer to reach anywhere.
How does a team give up 500 yards of offense in less than 3 full quarters. This makes our 2010 defense looks competant.
UCLA scored a safety. Progress.
