U-M Personalized License Plate Ideas
I'm a double Michigan alum '01 '09 (the best of football/the worst of football) and I moved out to California after graduating in the Spring. I'm about to buy a new car and want to get a plate that shows some Michigan pride in SC/UCLA country. There's a lot of Michigan alums out here so they seem to have taken up most of the obvious ones - so I was curious if anyone had any ideas or what plates they had in their state.
It can be 6 or 7 characters and you can use spaces but not 2 in a row. If I get the Kids are Awesome plate, you can also use symbols - a star, heart, or a handm but I'm not sure I want to go down that road. I've tried a lot of different combos of the obvious like GO BLUE, MGOBLUE, TRUBLU, VICTORS etc with no luck. I think HAIL was available but its a German car and I thought that might have some negative implications.
Any ideas?

When I move back home I plan on getting BLÜBLUD as a vanity plate. Of course the umlaut will be done after obtaining the plate and it's probably illegal but whatever, I'm a badass like that...

I like it - that's clever. My only issue would be the car I'm looking at cost $100k new (depreciation is my friend - its about 1/3 that now) and being a young guy driving it, I'd probably look even more like a spoiled, yuppy douche. In a neighboring state of Michigan it would probably be easier to do, because more people would get the Blue meaning Michigan reference. Here they would just associate it with the expensive car.

I am HLVCTRS.
I live in another state besides Michigan. I imagined wives in the car behind me trying to figure it out...asking there husband what the hell my plate says. Said husband having to respond "Hail Victors".

That's solid. The HL adds some mystery and makes it seem less like you are driving some guy named Victor's car

-"550 0" - to honor the first Point-a-Minute team
-"WOODSON" (does it need explanation?)
-"ILOVEA2" - if you miss the ol' college town
-"BLOCKM" - it available, it's a classic
-"THEDIAG" - more obscure reference, but some will get it. (Others: BLIMPY, THE ARB, THECUBE, YOST...)

Some good ideas there - I'll check on BLOCKM for sure and will think about an A2 one and the other campus references.

Has to be this plate from Florida, which makes fantastic use of the plate design:

Hail2MI
Only the faithful will know...
I live in Columbus and my vanity plates are
U OF M MI
Along with the vanity plates, I also have a Go Blue Michigan license plame frame around the plates, and several M decals on the car. Die hard Michigan fan born and raised in Columbus.
Good luck

I tried every imagineable combination for my vanity plate here in California to find out apparently there just are a ridiculous amount of MICH fans living here and have already taken all the possible combinations. Until I put in "BEAT OSU".... unbelievably it wasn't taken and now I can drive around with pride. GO BLUE!
