U-M to offer leadership seminar featuring Brandon, Hoke, Beilein, Hutchins

Submitted by m1817 on

U-M will offer a seminar titled "Leaders and Best:  Winning the Leadership Game" in June.  It will feature Dave Brandon, Brady Hoke, John Beilein, and Carole Hutchins (by far, the winningest coach in history of U-M athletics).

The seminar will be a six day executive education program that will teach business leadership through lessons learned in U-M sports.  It will include game-play enactments, team activities, and wellness exercises at Michigan Stadium and the Davidson Player Development center.

Estimated cost:  $14,900.

Can't get training like that in many places, but damn... I guess the combination of that many multi-million dollar contracts forces the price higher. I'm sure hoke gold is worth the cost of admission. Can I hope they tape it and put the tapes on late night infomercials?

Lets play a game called "which one does not belong":

Which one does not belong:  Dave Brandon, Brady Hoke, John Beilein, or Carole Hutchins?

Hint:  The outsider is not a coach . . .

Will Mark Dantonio pop up mid-seminar to state that "OK, here's what we're going to do, we're going to get other people up here. We're going to talk about more than the University of Michigan."?

a lot of folks can write it off as a business expense..

except for people who are hit by the AMT, apparently.  Was very excited to write off my wife's malpractice 'tail' insurance...who knew it wasn't eligible?

They can charge an exorbant fee because those speakers have valuable stuff to say, and because there are tens of thousands of people who would want to attend, they have to price discriminate some people out of attending.

Sucks I'm in the latter half.

I was about to say I knew there was a reason for my moving back to Ann Arbor. Then I saw the price tag. Pretty sure my business won't be willing to cover the cost for an analyst. Oh well.

Featuring Izzo, Dantonio, and Hollis.

They are calling it:  Whinning Strategies for Overatted Douchenozzles.   No cost but you have to volunterr to clean up the swirling garbage mess and charred couch remains in East Landfill.

I wish I could go just to hear a Hoke ran seminar about business leadership. Even if sports leadership is involved, it will be tremendous.  But the cost? Well, you know.
