I don't believe there will one commit that doesn't at least maintain contact with other programs.

That being said, I will gladly sacrifice one recruiting class if it means Michigan has a new coach and AD.

We just have to assume every commit has one foot out the door at this point (until they annouce both feet are out).  This is what happens with a lame duck coach.  Once a new coach is announced, many of them will come back, almost no matter who the coach is.  Certainly is always better than uncertainty.

And I said this in another thread already, but if we hire Harbaugh, all of these guys will be back so fast it isn't even funny.  Even if they commit to another school.  Until then, we're just in purgatory for a while.

I don't think kinnel is going to decommit. I really believe he is going over with a friend and his coach.  Wants to keep options open in case we don't get a good coach.

The fact is that the University of Michigan has more to offer an athlete than any other school in the country, save possibly Stanford. The only reason for a recruit not tone interested is if he had a particular allegiance to coach hoke. That's possible, but Brady Hoke does a great job recruiting the University as opposed to he or a system. We will likely have a new coach. But the University, and the opportunities after football will remain the same as they have been, whether Hoke is here or not. So, yes, a backup plan is appropriate. At the same time, some other kid or kids who didnt commit to a coach, rather the school, will reconsider despite what my have been said on social media.

The UM situation is in such a state of flux in the media ... social media ... it's almost predestined for all of our recruits to keep looking. Don't ya think??? Why wouldn't they, given all the negative press (social and otherwise) How can one blame them? To a large degree, this blog encouraged them.

Take a second and think back to 2006. Could any of you have envisioned the state that the Michigan football program is in right now? The downfall has been pretty amazing. Perhaps even unprecedented.

THIS SPEAKS VOLUMES ABOUT THE KIDS WE ARE RECRUITING!!!!!  we are going after kids who, when not commited to us, are choosing to go to: NCST (holy fuck if thats not championship contender in the next two years), Penn State (taylor taking an official there, did you not watch us beat that sorry ass excuse for a program on the rebound?), Texas (chris clark, im mean at least we are the second best football program in the state, texas might be the fourth best in theirs????), and now WVU.

you want to leave a losing team and jump ship to go where and not compete for shit?

cool, give me some guys that want to come and play ball not hollywood around like they are hot shit.

Tyree goes to my daughters high school (Wayne HS) She has a class with his sister and she said that he loves Michigan and has always been a fan. I doubt he goes any where else unless we get a bad replacement coach. Fingers crossed!
