If the Rivals' site is accurate, Luatua has quite the list of offers, one from us included. Comprehensive list is here - LINK - but Alabama, Arizona, Baylor, Florida, Georgia, Miami (YTM), Nebraska, Notre Dame, USC and several others of varied note are on the list. According to the site, his visit to Ohio St. was scheduled to be four days from now.

Wait, are you suggesting that it's not the "kid's" fault for sending out a dumb tweet to begin with?  Maybe "kids" shouldn't be so obsessed with using social media to brag about their offer sheets and being able to drop Ohio State.

The argument that the users of Twitter have any semblance of privacy on that site is tired and uninformed.  It only gets magnified if you're in the public eye in any way.  There's a simple solution:  stop using Twitter or stop posting dumb stuff (but we all know most everyone can't help but post dumb, inflamatory stuff).

questionable tweet? dumb tweet?  I say kudos to this kid for calling out something shady when it happens instead of 10 years after he's left the program.  If more recruits did this maybe programs would actually be punished for cheating and have to stop instead of just hiding it better.

OSU really wants TE Mike Gesicki and both were planning on being at the Wisconsin game this Saturday. Shortly after Luatua's tweet, Gesicki tweeted: The buckeyes keeping it real #Theohiostate. My guess is that OSU told Luatua to come another week because they want to make Gesicki feel like he is their top TE prospect (which he is). Idk if I would have classified that as shady.

Hand's reaction after his OSU visit sort of gave me the impression something shady is going on in Columbus, too. I wonder if Tyler will eventually say more, though.

If you believe the Ohio posters, the shadiness is due to Meyer asking him to delay his visit as they think they have a better shot with another TE prospect (Gesick)

Ohio State fan here -- obviously no one but Tyler Luatua and Ohio State know for sure what that tweet refers to, but all the recruiting experts with inside information agree that it refers to Ohio State asking Tyler to reschedule this weekend's visit.

Ohio State is looking to take one TE this class.  Their only targets appear to be Mike Gesicki and Tyler Luatua.  Both were scheduled to visit this weekend for the Wisconsin night game.

Apparently, Gesicki is the staff's favorite and they asked Tyler to reschedule because they want to focus hard on Gesicki and get him to commit this weekend (and it would be awkward to do that when Tyler is on campus, too).  Personally, if true, I can see why Tyler would be upset given that he scheduled his visit before Mike did.  At the same time, however, I wouldn't call this "shady."

Appreciate the informative response and agree that is the likely scenario. It would be nice if good informative responses like yours from OSU fans weren't greeted here by posts calling them homers or bringing up tattoos...but as you can see from the replies, that is not the case today.
