How come no one has mentioned that we already have a great ol haul and that we will be just fine with Smith and shallman? We get it but it still stings to lose out on Ty.

but have you read any of the posts that came before?  There are countless debates on who Smith compares too (Hart?) and which positon Shallman will play (RB, FB, DE?), as well as how even some of the people who post on this board 10 times a day could run for 1000 yards behind the OL coming in (that is to say they have some cloak of armor that prevents injury).

Some people are freaking out, but most are just disappointed.  We will be fine.  Go Blue.

His recruitment always had the feel that he was looking for something more from a school.  I guess this is why Hoke has been sending out new offers the past couple weeks.   The coaches get the same feeling about a recruit that every one else gets.   I also have a feeling Isaac does not sign with USC come signing day.

I don't have any animosity toward Isaac.  USC is a great school with great tradition.  Also like many of you still feel great about our recruiting class which should be top 3 at worst IMO.  The one thing I am not of fan of is that he signed up to play for a douche like Lane Kiffin.  I can't stand that guy.

Im half kidding because USC's  red and DARK yellow  uniforms are the only ones I like anywhere near to my alma mater (Michigan).... but by gosh I wish we dump the lemon yellow that seems to have evolved over the years.   USC's uniforms are perfect, and ours would be if the yellow was that of the maize of old.

Behind this Oline Deveon Smith will be just fine, I will admit that I really wanted Isaac, but we'll survive just fine.  There have been many comments that whenever a recruit has it down to 2 schools with us being one of them, it just hasn't seemed to go our way.  Not trying to attack Hoke as a recruiter, but this trend is getting troubling.

I hate these types of posts.  When you have a football program with the history and prestige of Michigan or USC, you have certain positions that you become renowned for.  With Michigan, we had 7 NFL QBs in the league at one time.  We are known for producing QBs, WRs and OL.  If there is one thing USC is known for it is RB's.  OJ, Reggie Bush (good or bad) but renowned none the less.  As an alumni of UM, if I was an all american RB I would have chosen USC as well.  I bleed blue, but those bikinis and all the people you read about in Time, People, USA today, etc. standing on the sidelines have an effect on a young lad from Illinios.  Simmer Down!  There is a long way to go to finish out this class, things will work out.  We are trending upwards and that is what counts.  Schools like USC and OSU are in it to win it now.......Michigan is about ethics, doing things the right way and long term results for both our athletes and the school.  Good Luck Mr. Isaac, you would have been a star at Michigan, but you ARE replaceable.  Hurts, but can't win them all.

me with a USC alumni license plate holder yesterday at the grocery store.  I should've gotten my Michigan license plate holder-ed car ahead of her and all would have been right in the world.

Good luck, Ty.

Still don't like USC and their stupid song they play over and over (bad Rose Bowl memories).
