Ty Isaac commits, but questions remain
From CBS Sports:
Michigan expects to land USC transfer running back Ty Isaac, who according to a source is working through the admissions process with the school and committed some time after his visit this week.

EDIT: Title edited due to popular demand. Article says he committed, but there's still a lot of paperwork between him and a winged helmet.
No way this guy redshirts voluntarily. For Hoke it has to be all hands on deck this year. Also, if he's as good as advetised he could be in the NFL in two years.
Yea! Hope he can play next fall. I was not impressed by Green, and Smith runs hard but doesnt have break away speed. Isaac had nice stats in limited action at USC.
Say he does come AND gets the waiver to play this year.
If Michigan had even a 2012 OL.....
All of this rides on the OL. But if they somehow pull it together enough....look out.
T.I., Derrick and De'Veon could be reminiscent of 1992 with Wheatley, Powers and Johnson.
I'm not saying but I'm saying.
Has to run behind this disaster of an offensive line...yeah I know, neg away
"neg away"
Sorry, I won't give you the satisfaction.
But 99% of blog clearly watched a different offensive line than I did. Good for them, it didn't make them want to rip their eyes out.
Obviously you are first person to notice that are our line was terrible last year. Not sure I've ever heard anyone mention that before.
It's better for both parties. Isaac gets to be closer to home and we add another stud RB.
you ass, he just waiting for the paper work to be done. this is different than a hs commitment . you ass
Old man cliches about carts and horses, counting chickens, and birds in the bush.
Regarding his mother's condition, wouldn't it be better if he sat out a year? I assume that it would be easier for him to visit home more often this next year if he's on the scout team than it would be if he's on the active roster...
So you can fill us in exactly on what her condition is and how it will limit her.
He reminds me of Eddie George....in a good way!
commits come in pairs
i was right, guys give it up
bball transfer commitment on sunday
Clearly it's Bill Cosby with a hot dog that has Ty Isaac's head on it.....
There was a tweet or two out there that seemed to indicate that with might know for certain one way or the other in the next couple days, so I assume that if that is the case, then this might be a reference to making sure the administrative end of it is in order. If Isaac does somehow end up in Ann Arbor, then I will say that I like where the RB spot is at just that much more given the options then available.
Great news, but the title should change pending the Hello post.
Says Michigan fans should be optimistic, but that nothing definitive has happened yet, according to the Isaac family.
I was listening earlier and Webb addressed this at about 7:00, which posted in the other thread.
When he spoke about it earlier, he was pretty clear this morning that this is happening. He was intentionally vague (while also intending to make it easy to read between the lines), but apparently Isaac made the decision yesterday and seemingly committed (which I interpret as signing something), though he hadn't told his parents. He wanted to tell both his mom and dad - who was working late - before it went public. Sam kept saying "he wanted to tell them about what he was going to do, or had already done". He made a point to continually repeat the latter, and said follow the bouncing ball.
Maybe he's backed off that a little bit, maybe he actually did get a text from mom or dad this morning.
Sam Webb on today's recruiting roundup said he had a "strong feeling in his gut" that Isaac will pick Michigan. It sounds like he's expecting an official announcement sometime today. He said that Michigan fans should be optimistic.
how special Fargas could have been in College football had he a full three or four years. Hopefully we can enjoy Isaac galloping up and down the field for three special seasons instead of the half season Justin was able to give.
Sam on the recruiting roundup says we'll know more about the Isaac situation but his "gut feeling" was that he'll end up at Michigan later today.
Coaches are selling depth as a way to stay fresh, and Nuss can prove it with his Bama guys. I'd love to have Harris and/or Weber. But I'll take a 5 star in hand vs two long recruitments in the bush.
A lot of things happen when I'm asleep. I should sleep more often...
One good bit of news: admissions is really tough on transfers to Michigan because they don't respect the coursework of other schools, but if there's a short list of schools that shouldn't be a problem with, USC is one of them.
Of course, I couldn't get them to transfer credits from the friggin Harvard of the Francophone world (Paris IV, La Sorbonne) so...
