Ty Isaac on campus

Submitted by TexanGOBLUE on

Per Sam Webb Ty Issac just hit campus about an hour ago. Although most paywall sites state he will visit USC later this month but can the coaches pull it off today? We have one commit today could Issac be number two? I think we're match made in football heaven. What does the board think?

This was from the 5th of March:

"Also, not that there was ever much ground for it, but I talked to Ty Isaac who said he's not committing anywhere anytime soon."

So, I don't know if that's changed (although, it would be a nice change, of course). If not, then I would expect a post-visit reaction article later from Tremendous certainly, but perhaps not a commitment. Of course, as fast as the Hoke train is going and as successful as it seems to be at most stops, who really knows anymore?

What offensive line recruits are on campus as well? If the coaches can show him who he will be running behind in person he may be more apt to pull the trigger. The second option is for Hoke to point at him giving him no other choice but to commit.

It'd be great to get him in the class, but it is still only March.  Even if he doesn't commit this weekend, there is still a ton of time for him to join team #134.

I hope its not Hokes style to say commit now or else.we would lose a lot of players if that was the case.let's stick with how bad ass his offensive line is gonna be as a selling point.

I'd personally be surprised if he committed this weekend. When I talked to him on Wednesday, he didn't sound like someone who was ready to end the process yet. That being said, a full weekend in Ann Arbor is a huge deal. You know Shane and co. will be putting on the full court press and these kids change their timetables at the drop of a dime all of the time.

Considering he's going to have wooly mammoths creating running lanes for him if he comes here, I'd say we have a pretty good shot. I doubt he'll commit this week, though. I see him as the kid who will wait until the Army All-American game to make a decision.

Don't know why, but just a hunch.

Based on Aquamans comment, I think I'd rather have Ty wait it out.  If he commits now, I could totally see him re-opening his recruiting down the line.  Not because i think anything negative of him, but I just know that if he commits the other programs will probably come at him even harder knowing he was just caught up in the rapture of commitapalooza.  This is one guy that I'd rather have take his time and truly feel good that Michigan is for him

Reopen his recruitment? This is as speculative as the guy choosing to commit today or whenever.

If a guy commits now it is to Michigan and if he re-opens as we have learned then he is not.

It's not a commitapalooza. Guys commit because they like the staff, the facilities, the program and this is Michigan.

Maybe three years in the wildnerness made you forget that.

600th point should go to Ty. Hope he pulls the trigger this weekend, but if not I am pretty confident we get him at some point in the near future. He is just a match mad ein heaven with Michigan 3 yards and a cloud of dust.

You can only save so many spots for the "elites". There are still positions that need to be addressed. I'm hoping it happens this weekend because if not Smith is likely to commit next weekend. That might call an end to our recruitment of Isaac. For good reason the staff puts a strong emphasis on the desire to be a Michigan man.
