Ty Isaac on campus

Submitted by TexanGOBLUE on

Per Sam Webb Ty Issac just hit campus about an hour ago. Although most paywall sites state he will visit USC later this month but can the coaches pull it off today? We have one commit today could Issac be number two? I think we're match made in football heaven. What does the board think?

Obviously, it would be great to get a commit from Ty today, but I'll be real pleased if we do indeed get Conley and Hawkins.  I think Ty + Michigan is a perfect match, and I'm ready for him to commit when he sees that.

Didn't know Smith was coming next weekend...that might just give Ty a little nudge.

I know Ty said he wanted to wait to commit, but with the way this class has shaped out and the Juggernaut that is the 2013 class's offense, he may have no other choice than to hop on the bandwagon which is starting to look something like this.

Is there any chance a player with his athleticism can move out to Slot? It would be a solution to the lack of athleticism we have out there next year. It would also be something that Alabama wouldnt see coming.

It would be nice to see Hayes make an impact in one way or another this year. As for Isaac it would be nice to see more then one come on board after all that has been made about this weekend!

Eit: I'm drunk, and this was meant for the discussion thread. But it still holds true for everyone in this thread topic.

This kid could really flourish under coach Jackson and this mammoth o line he will run behind. Mix that running attack with Sugar Shane and a few electric wideouts....lights out.

He's not in the top 5 because there are questions about his ability to break tackles running so upright. Athletically he's a phenom but he needs to get behind his pads or he will be hit hard on the next level. As for those convinced we would never turn him away full at his position or not, no matter what. It's not that black and white, we stopped recruiting our number 1 WR and our number 1 CB prospects last year over different issues. I'm not saying this kid has some character flaw but Hoke is getting to know this kid as much as he's selling Michigan to him. Hoke could see something that doesn't mesh with team 134. There are no absolutes in recruiting.

You can not deny how stout our O-line is. It's hard for any 4 or 5 star RB not to be behind those guys. If Ron Dayne can do it at Wisky and win the Heisman, why not here!

I still think Ty could be one of the top 2 or 3 WR's in the country if he or the coaches decided to change positions. I'd love to grab him and Deveon Smith and work them both in all around the field. Sprinkle in a little Hayes/Norfleet in the slot, a dash of Shallman to change the pace, and top it off with Darboh/Chesson/Treadwell. Add in some Funchess or Butt to taste (knock off the giggling) and this offense will be absolutely unreal. I bet Shane would have a huge grin on his face for four straight years if we could pull this off, Lord knows I would.

don't rule out the Trojans. Nobody has a better RB tradition than USC; five Trojan tailbacks have won Heismans (including Bush, who isn't on the official list anymore). With Hoke we've got a great shot, but it's no slam dunk.
