Two ND updates

Submitted by ish on

1. Tee Shepard, a 4 star 2012 corner and top 100 player, who I believe enrolled early, has left ND; and

2. NCAA has granted Amir Carlisle's, a RB transfer from USC, request to play the 2012 season.

Will the Carlisle transfer from SC to ND affect Isaac?  Will it deter him from going to ND? Carlisle was previously 4* #4 ranked RB and got early PT at USC.  I wonder if Isaac will worry that he would not get early PT at ND with Carlisle there.  On the other hand, does Carlisle's departure from SC open up opportunities for Isaac there?  Hopefully not.  I would guess that his departure from SC is old news and that they are already pretty full at RB.

Agreed.  Their days of having tons of elite RBs is over, for now.  In their 2012 class, they took a FB and no running backs.  In 2011, the only RB they took was Amir Carlisle.  In 2010, their top RB was Dillon Baxter who is also gone.  DJ Morgan is also there, but will be a junior this fall, meaning he'll be a senior when Isaac is a frosh.

Not only that, but with their scholarship reductions, I doubt they take a second RB in this class if they get a guy like Isaac.  He'd have almost no one to compete with for most of his career.

1. They suck

2. They are irrelevant.

Oh wait......that's been the case for over 20 years now. Silly me.

Unfortunately, only the first one is true.  If the second were true, we wouldn't have two threads about them on the board today.  When Minnesota loses a recruit, we don't start a thread about it.

Midterms came in two days ago. Apparently he didn't do so well. Wish we had the standards of you guys. His Grandmother died within the last few days to so that also added to it.
