Two Future RBs from Georgia Offered

Submitted by DrMantisToboggan on

Usually this wouldn't be post worthy (and maybe it's still not, feel free to neg), but Michigan recently offered a 2019 and a 2020 RB from Georgia, and they both have incredible names:

STEELE CHAMBERS is a 2019 RB from the Alpharetta, GA area (North of Atlanta). He's listed at 6' 210 lbs (I'd guess closer to 200 or below based on film). His other offer is from Vanderbilt.

TANK BIGSBY is a 2020 RB from Hogansville, GA (near Columbus, GA and Auburn, AL). He's listed at 5'11 175. He holds offers from Michigan, Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, Ole Miss, North Carolina, and a school that went 3-9. He looks like he will be highly coveted (and his Freshman film is nice for a 15yo playing varsity ball in GA) so it's good that we offered early.

My personal favorite of the two names is Tank Bigsby. For one a running back named Tank is just great. Set him loose and let him rumble. It also has a somewhat ironic piece to it in that he is currently listed at a size that is pretty small for a D1 RB (again, only 15, he's growing), and yet his name would imply that he is a steroidal behemoth: TANK BIGsby.

Jim is clearly making Georgia and the rest of the south, and all their All-American Name guys a priority.

Steele is one of the 36 Chambers of death kid.

Edit: If he comes to Michigan and doesn't get number 36 I'm going to be severely disappointed.

Steele Chambers is the better of the two names. Clearly his parents knew what they were doing when they named him Steele with the last name of Chambers. Best name I've seen in a long while.

Sam's mentioned a few times in the last couple days that Georgia coaches are mortified by Harbaugh's presence in Georgia - the high school coach who made the statement wanted to remain unanimous for fear of getting torched by Georgia people. Georgia kids in the 2018 and 2019 classes are seriously intrigued by Michigan, and a pipeline seems to be building there.

The state of Georgia has a fantastic talent pool for those not in the know. This is a huge deal. Myles Sims, the 4* DB from Georgia who was discussed in the recruiting roundup Tuesday, seems highly likely to drop soon based off of hints Sam Webb had been giving as well as other Insiders stated in the roundup post. Everyone wants that kid, so don't be surprised to hear about some typical Southern school shenanigans made to try and entice him away from Michigan.

Hey, they could both be future answers to 'name 5 Michigan players with a metal for a name' (things made of metal count apparently).
