TWIS is up
Brian has TWIS up, seems earlier than normal this week.
LSU/Alabama gets the lead, while MSU is the only 'freude from the Big Ten.

The only way this could have been better was if the guy who said Les Miles needs "BRAIN SURGERY" had spelled it, "BRIAN SURGERY."
Sorta like what his post got...

First player to get it? Or am I forgetting someone?

I think it went to a coach once, but I don't think it ever went to a player. Maybe Brian can shed some light on it.

Man maryland has really been shit on this year... It is too bad Stefon Digg's had to piss off the coaches when he wasn't there when they visited. We sure could of used a player like that this year on offense..

You haven't heard? Dude is transferring here at the end of the year.

Clearly there were other factors at play than just that. For instance, it seems pretty clear he wanted to stay close to home. Even if he hypothetically burned the Michigan bridges, he is enough of a talent to go someplace significantly better than Maryland. The fact that he chose Maryland over, you know, a competent program, leads me to think he was going to Maryland regardless of how his relations with our coaches were.

Irrelevant. He was going to UMD the whole time

I'm sorry but the next time somebody claims we're delusional and have ridiculous expectations for the football team I'm going to point them to Tiger Droppings. five losses in three years, two appearances in the MNC game with one win and they want to get rid of Miles???? Seriously?
Reminds me of Minnesota when they HAD to get rid of Glenn Mason cause "dammit we're Minnesota and 7-5 just doesnt cut it around here". Careful what you wish for.......

I think it is a problem that infects the SEC schools in general. Every school there demands excellence and national championships. Look at how GA's Richt is on the hot seat every year, despite always having 9 or 10 win seasons. There are schools that would kill for that kind of consistency.

It's similar to Nebraska, too. A lot of fans want Pelini replaced because he "just can't get them to the next level", despite 9-10 wins every year as head coach.
November 7th, 2012 at 12:26 PM ^
but the majority consider winning 9-10 to be maintaining the Nebraska standard. Most of us learned our lesson under Callahan.
Let's face it, when your progam wins 850+ games (or 900+ in Michigan's case), its easy to spoil the fans.

I'm sure that is true. I ventured over to some of the Nebraska Football message boards the week of the Michigan-Nebraska game and there seemed to be a rather large split in the fanbase. I know they were coming off a not-so-stellar win against Northwestern, but still 9-10 wins a year is pretty good.

from what I've read he's still on the hotseat depending on how he finishes the season. God it would be great for them to beat Bama.

Schools in the SEC DO kill for that kind of consistency...
But it's ok because everybody murders, everybody kills people, steals from me, steals from you, whatever.

stupidity and the rise of hitler. correlation is not causation. TWIS is the best thing about my life, and I have a pretty good life.

I am so sad that Brian couldn't work in a Johnny Adams .GIF or the serious discussions spartan fans were having about joining the mid american conference. I guess there is always next week.

The only thing I like about Twitter is that MSU players have access to it.
