I think he was jokingly talking about Fred Jackson with that specific tweet (replying to TomVH's tweet to him shortly before). But I love that he's out there talking us up, we need more recruits like him.

He was quoted as saying he didn't want to play nose in the 3-3-5.  It looks like Coach Hoke ran more of a 4-3 at BSU and only ran the 3-3-5 at SDSU because his DC was one of the big names behind it.  If we get a DC that wants to run a 4-3, does that put us back on his radar?  As bad as our defense was last year, I have to believe he like the university more than the DC and scheme.

Just saw it on twitter, I agree with you guys. At this point, in mid-January, this is definitely a positive no matter who it is.

Hopefully he is being serious and not just playing.

and TomVH, I definitely agree with your tweet about Al Golden. Definitely shady, especially considering they are going through the same thing we are. They need recruits just as bad as we do.

Didn't Justice tweet something almost identical to this after Countess committed and we didn't get any more commits (other than the Goudis switch which I doubt he was referring to)? Hopefully this time someone comes through with a verbal though and swings us some momentum.

I love this kid.

Also, has anyone else been looking at DeAnthony Arnett's Twitter feed recently? For a Tennessee commit, it's an awful lot of Michigan stuff. /rampant speculation

Though it probably doesn't mean much because when RR was fired it was filled with all that Michigan tweets. Only scenario I see with these tweets having any importance is that he wasn't the biggest fan of RR and his offense, and maybe reconsidering with new staff?

Highly unlikely though, I feel.

I read that Arnett contacted Coach Hoke yesterday to chat with him. Since his only aversion to us was that he didn't want to play in a spread, it would make sense for him to become interested again.

The thing is, getting Arnett would probably close the door on Lucien. Lucien seems like a little bit better player to me.

Either way, we'll see.

I think we were always open to two WRs in this class, so Arnett wouldn't close the door on Lucien.  However, it would close the door on Lucien or Flowers, so if Arnett dropped all of a sudden, it would put pressure on the other two if they both wanted to come.

Glad Justice keeps pushing for us - Lord knows we need it.  I'd like Rawls in this class, so I hope he gets his grades together.  Bryant is big, Frost would be a very pleasant surprise, and either Flowers or Lucien (or both) is a must since Conway is out.

Also, let the record show that if Dallas Crawford is replaced by Raymon Taylor, I'm OK with that.  They play the same position (CB with a chance of S), they are the same size, Taylor is an in-stater, and Rivals actually likes Taylor better.
