Tunnel Question
Quick Question, and forgive me for not elaborating on why I'd like to know....
But does anyone know if the Tunnel in Michigan Stadium still features, or will still feature, the phrase "HARD EDGE" on beam before the one that sports the traditional "GO BLUE??"
From my recollection this was a mantra from Rich himself, and I'm wondering if it's already gone or has been replaced by something else???
Can anyone speculate? Spring game, or perhaps a recent visit?

Well, I can definitely say "Hard Edge" was not there in 2006. That said, I can't verify whether or not Hoke will hold on to something from the RR era. I don't see why that would be something to erase.
"You Raise Me Up" likely isn't there either?
It is still up. I saw it during the Women's Football Academy video, IIRC.

Does this mean we can return to the few weeks of last year, and use that phrase in every other post?
I think they should get rid of it. I like a lot of the RR mantra but never really felt that saying deserved to be up on the tunnel IMO.
Can we get rid of it? Please? I disliked it it even as a Rich Rodriguez supporter... As much as I hate to use ND as a comparison, it feels to me like if Brian Kelly were to put a sign that said "Serenity Now!" under "Play Like a Champion* Today."
*(but don't actually be one, that would be silly)
Maybe it still means something to the players which is why Hoke left it. I'm fine with that (and then once the RR era guys graduate we can repaint it).
It was still up as of the spring game. My wife and I did the locker room/field tour the night before the game. I just checked the pictures we took, and it happens to be in one of them. I can send you the proof if you would like.
Obviously, this is no guarantee it is still up, or will be up by the start of the season.

I can say with certainty that it's still there. I took a long walk around the Stadium last night to take it in before I have to leave for a while, and the HARD EDGE sign was definitely still in the tunnel. I don't like it, but meh.

Anyone else remember Perry Dorrestein's Rich Rod impression about Obama having a Hard Edge? It was on one of the CTK videos last year. Very funny. I'm of the opinion that they should leave Hard Edge up there. It's part of the history of the team now.
I just hope to God they ditch that stupid "Circle of Death" routine during the pregame warmup. It was forced, hokey posing, signifying nothing of substance.
at junior camp. i asked. he said it says Go Blue. he did not see Hard Edge. so I think it is gone.

I took a recent tour of the Stadium at the end of June and the phrase was still there in the tunnel.
