of reasons that I hate tOSU. I was sitting in a local bar with my wife watching Mich v Wiscy on Saturday and at about half-time tons of people start piling into this bar wearing scarlet & grey ( As per the norm, I was decked in Maize & Blue, the only one in the bar for that matter).

So a guy yells right behind me "Leave it to Michigan to blow a game we need them to win" to which the whole bar starts laughing. So my reply, as loud as I possibly could "Well if you would have beat Wisconsin in the first place you wouldn't need Michigan to fight your battles for you, would you" Silence at the bar.

My wife yelled for the check, dragged me out of the bar, citing that no amount of liquid encouragement was enough to take on 15 people... but I know I could've taken them, I just know it...

My first Michigan v. Ohio State game in Columbus was in 1980. I was 13. I went with my Dad and older brother who was 25. We had a great time at the game, which was close, but Michigan won 9-3.

I wore a Michigan baseball hat and a maize and blue scarf to the game. On the way out of the stadium a random student aged person in Ohio State gear walked right up to me and punched me in the side of the head - which sent me flying. They guy just kept right on walking as my dad and brother helped me up.

I got up stunned, my head throbbing and I was of course, crying. As we continued to walk I took off my hat and scarf and stuffed them in my jacket. My older brother barked at me - "put on your hat and scarf. Be proud of Michigan. The next person that touches you...we're all going to fight."

As a 13 year old I wasn't thinking about fighting. I just wanted to get to our car alive. I was terrified. But I understood where my brother was coming from and so I put on my hat, wiped away my tears and held my throbbing head high.

I have had an increased hatred for those bastards ever since.

Fuck the Bucks! Go Blue!

1. Punched on multiple occasions in arms, legs, stomach, face, back of the head

2. Kicked in the shins, ass, back, knee

3. Total beer bottles thrown at my head: 7

        Breakdown: 4 full, 2 empty, 1 "refilled"

4. Articles of clothing torn or taken and not returned: 9

Breakdown: 4 hats, 2 swestshirts, 1 coat, 1 shoe, 1 scarf (with me still attached)

5.  Nearly pushed into an open BBQ pit while girlfriend/wife and friends of perpetrator cackled like a banshee

6.  Requests to fight: more than I can count

7.  Food/beverages I've been "wearing" by the end: Nachos, beer, potato chips, baked potato (loaded), jello shot, gum (really nice in the hair), bratwurst, slaw, kraut, soda, dip (both chip and chew), marshmallows

8.  Cigarettes put out on me: 3

9.  Buckeye nuts thrown at me: hundreds out of the shell, dozens still in the shell (God those hurt).

10.  Assorted other objects thrown at me: batteries, loose change, bottle openers, a razor blade (that was shocking even for Ohio State), empty cans, a chair (Bobby Knight style), foam bricks, etc...

The two most shocking things though?

Average approximate age of perpetrator: 35

Number of people who have ever tried to intervene: 2

During football season, humanity ceases to exist as you or I know it elsewhere.  Beat Ohio State!  GO BLUE!

My excuse for speeding in Ohio is always "i'm speeding for medical reasons officer, being in the state makes me sick."

The fact I have not been savagely beaten by a pair of Ohio State Troopers amazes me to this day.

No doubt a degree from OSU is a springboard to a career as a country club caddy, because he works at my club!

Incredibly, numbnuts thinks it is funny to give me shit about football while he is carrying my bag.  I tipped him $0 and told him if I even heard him talking OSU football if he is in my group again, and I will be sure the members he is carrying for  understand not to tip him, too.

he wasnt even a good caddy.
