Tuesday Night MAC West Championship

Submitted by formerlyanonymous on

Northern Illinois (-11.5) leads Toledo 7-0 after the opening drive. Both teams are 5-0 in MAC play. NIU has a great running game (11th at 243yd/game) and a solid defense (16th at 18.7 points/game). The Huskies have a win over Minnesota and losses to Illinois and Iowa State. That qualifies for a great MAC team.

Toledo, while 5-0 in conference, hasn't been very good at anything. They aren't in the top 50 in any major category. They do own a win over Purdue, but they do have losses to Boise State, Arizona, and Wyoming. One of those is not as respectable as the others.

I'm taking NIU to cover, and I'm liking the under (around 51 or 52 depending the site).

The guys over at JCB say otherwise (Toledo +11.5 at least), and have a great preview for those interested.

NIU is a very good MAC team they beat argueably the preseason favorite Temple by 14 points about a month ago. Look for that to be a repeat matchup in Detroit for the MAC champ game.

Good grief, Rockets. Not looking good.

So the Toledo QB is from Glenville. I'm sure everyone hear heard Robert Smith slurp the school and their coach.

ANYWAY GET THE FUCKING BALL TO KIRBY PAGE!

(btw, thanks for the link and compliments, FA)

Only saw a few plays but would like to have their kicker who was putting it in the endzone on kickoffs to create a longer field for Toledo's offense.  An area of much improvement needed for Michigan in 2011.
