Iowa @ Ohio 6:30 ET
Sparty @ Wisconsin 7:00 ET
Also, Brian's possible Big Twelve game of the year, Kansas @ Kansas St. 8:00 ET
Go Hawks. Annnnnd Go, Badgers?!
Go Wildcats too!
Battle of the ex Illini !
Damn I can't decide who to root for. Wait a minute. Self bailed on Illinois . The illini board still refers to him as bail self. Go Cats!
Gus calling the OSU Iowa game...
Becks Dark for a cold evening...
And a couple shots of Jamison to keep it interesting...
God Crafty may be crafty on D, but next time we play let's just guard everyone else and watch him shoot.
His shot has gotten ugly.
Yeah that three he took a few minutes ago was nasty looking...
drank some capital brewery supper club, should have been working though. probably should be working right now. I'll get back to working later. maybe. go badgers?
Iowa looks like they can play the Northwestern role this year, i.e. win some games as dogs down the stretch that will affect the title race.
So MSU/UW is tipping off at 6:00 local time? Weird.
Agreed. The Hawks tipping off 5:30 local time for me was a bit odd. Glad I checked or I would have missed a good chunk as I .was assuming at least 6:00 or 7:00 local time
The 6pm local tip for Michigan-Minnesota last week rankled some people here. It was a pain for me, too. Just par for the course in this time zone for this sort of sport.
Go Hawks go Badgers!
I'm loving the no score in the MSU Wisconsin game so far...rofl
It took 4:01 for the first basket to be scored in the Wisconsin game. 3-0 Badgers lol.
0 points after 4 min.. We have had 15 by then before. Lol
In Madison, All I hear is clank clank clank!
That is all.
Ron Paulus for Heisman. AMIRITE?
Wisconsin nailing a lot of threes.
Thats about the only way they score right now. Meaning wiscy.
Badgers, hawkers, and wildcats!
Pitt at Providence. Probably flipping between that and the Wings game here in a few.
Oh, and I'm trying Strongbow Cider for the first time tonight. Usually I'm not a (hard, the non-alcoholic stuff is awesome) cider guy, but I've heard good things and figured a six pack wouldn't be the end of the world if I didn't like it.
This MSU and wisconsin game is real sloppy so far.
Iowa fell apart at the end of the half....jeebus. I would like to see a 10-0 run to start the 2nd half.
Drinking some White Winter Ale for the first time. Not too bad.
Tom Crean feels left out...
In a little while, I'll be tuning into Kansas / Kansas St. out of curiosity and settling in with some of this:
Adam Woodbury (freshman 7-footer for Iowa) is getting schooled down low by OSU's bigs. I know he's skinny and all but he really needs to go up stronger down there, that soft shit ain't gonna cut it.
Gus Johnson just said he was a Michigan fan-on the air!
Finished all my homework by going HAM last 6 hours. Think i'll visit the couch with my Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale brews. Anyone tried it yet? Bottles say its 6.8% so that was pretty much good enough for me.
A couple years ago, I went out on a Thursday night. Next day one of my students told me I looked tired and "smelled like his step-dad's basement."
That was the last time I drank on a weeknight.
I will have to remember that line you smell like my step-dad's basement next time one of my buddies gets really sloshed.
The real question is who took advantage of you while you were blacked-out in his stepdad's basement? Hmmm?
Full time as a trainer. Gym hours kinda suck and I don't get home until ten. I usually have to get up and watch my 8 month old daughter until I take hr to daycare on the way to work. Tomorrow my wife and daughter are traveling to my in-laws. Sooooo. I will be drinking heavily. Probably just some Busch still left in the mini fridge from football season. And no Michigan games. So probably havin the boys over to play ncaa
Not sure why that was a reply to me, but good on you. Sounds like a fun night with the boys. May I recommend a power run team? I always find that fun, and drives the (every?) air-raid opponent nuts.
State and Wisconsin , the two most boring teams in the big ten.
Sorry, but you accidentally misspelled "STAEE".
Founders Centenial IPA followed by a Sierra Nevada Torpedo.
Craft runs into players, throws his arms up, and gets the foul.
God refs love that kid.
Again!! Craft slides under the guy and gets the charge.
Not sure I can think of another player getting so much love from the guys in the strips.
State sure is getting some nice calls down the stretch.
Down just 5 2:30 left
Law of Gus!!
"The Law of Gus" in full effect
This is the first time I've watched Wisconsin this year. Their offense is so simple. No wonder they muck around and play 44-43 games. This will be a big win for state.
right now, great comeback by Iowa.
For Directv folks, KU v KSU is on YES Network Channel 631
Any Badgers game would suffice
How did we lose to o$u again? Im sad...
Second 4 minute run in this game without a score...lol great.
Wisconsin's ineptitude at offense is pissing me off.
Guess we'll have to knock Sparty off their cloud ourselves.
I think Indiana should do that next week. MSU is currently up by 4 on a Wisconsin team shooting under 30%. They don't scare me whatsoever until they convincingly beat a good team.
They should be banned from all tv coverage for the rest of the year. Seriously that are making my eyes bleed.
Lol 7 minute drought, that's laughably awful.
KU 31 KSU 27 at half
Wisconsin looks down right awful to me. They can not buy a bucket.
Let's talk about how Wisconsin is shooting under 30%.
That's all I have to say about it.
Go Vadgers go!
7-17 from the line? COMONG WISCO!!!??!??!?!?
Anndddd wisconsin can't make shit
Moron couldn't even hit the rim
Our apology to Kenpom?
truth is that MSU has played really good defense. And, that Wiscy sucks on offense.
I'm looking forward to playing both teams.
fair point. now that you mention it, I've never see such stout D against free throws
Jesus H Christ
Sparty luck continues.
Oh well, I think our rooting interest in both Iowa/OSU and Wisky/MSU were very tangential. Meh.
basketball game I have seen
My interpretation of the MSU-Wisconsin game.
Truth be told, I searched 'cripple fight' in hopes of finding a .gif from the South Park episode aptly named 'Cripple Fight'. Unfortunately, none of the results were satisfactory to me, and this happened to be the next non-South Park 'cripple fight' themed item.
So, there you have my thought process.
All the wrong teams are winning :/ also I'm drinking tea. Pretty cool I know.
MSU is pissing me off right now. They are absolutely scraping by, game after game. They have narrow wins over Nebraska, PSU and Iowa during this streak. It's ridiculous. I think IU will lay waste to them this weekend, but that's not enough.
That they had just as good a chance to win the B1G as Minny, us or IU
Hopslam AND jack Daniels
Hopslam is correct.
That's an aggressive Tuesday. NTTAWWT
If you think tonight is aggressive, I'd be pretty afraid to talk about my weekends.
Out of town at a work meeting..had one sip of "lifted kilt" from 4 peaks (local brewery). Not my style...English ale.
Now resorted to fat tire, due to limited options.
K-State falls to KU (though I didn't really think the Wildcats would win), but the real shocker is NC State losing to Wake Forest. I don't care if the game was played in Winston-Salem, that is a bad loss for the Wolfpack. No defense being played by the team from Raleigh.
I touched on this the other day but there goes N.C. State again. What an inconsistent group of fairly talented players. It's not like their a bunch of Frosh players either, they have experience. I like Turgeon for the most part but at this point is some/much of this teams issues falling on him? (Dude from Wake Forest looks like he went off tonight, 25 pts. and 14 Rebs.)
Yeah...I'd submit that the blame probably doesn't lie there...Unless that January 16th loss is carrying some major hangover...
Our two best non-conference wins go down. And our two biggest rivals win.
A K State win would have been huge - but they will likely be top 25 all year because the Big 12 is so weak. NC State is killing us - too inconsistent. I can see them being a 6 or 7 seed in the tourney.
At least Pitt won.
OSU was going to beat Iowa at home - I was not hopeful for the upset. MSU just finds a way to win - but that game against Wisky was one of the worst games I have seen. My son's 2nd grade game over the weekend had more field goal and free throws made. (Selfishly, I want MSU to win as much as possible since I am going to that game on Mar 2. It will be my first UM hoops game ever, so a top 10 duel would be sweet).
How Wisky won at IU is shocking. When we play Wisky - their D and slow down methods better not baffle us like ohio.
