Troy Woolfolk has minor hand owwie
I apologize in advance if this is old news but I couldn't find anything on it. My friend has class with Troy and was talking to him today. Apparently Troy is in an arm cast and will be wearing a club. This is my first ever post so again, sorry if it sucks.

I knew his hand was hurt I just didn't think it was that bad.

I suppose the title and content was a little misleading.
September 10th, 2011 at 12:07 AM ^
Not misleading. Just a little too panic-inducing.
September 9th, 2011 at 11:49 PM ^
If you're making this up, you're exiled to Bolivia. But I'm 99% sure you're a ND slappy so you won't care anyway.
September 9th, 2011 at 11:56 PM ^
Although the fact that I created this profile tonight just to post this doesn't help my case. I check this blog daily this is just the first time I felt I had something to contribute. Apparently a lot of people seem to disagree...
September 9th, 2011 at 11:51 PM ^
Twitter world says it's a broken hand, but he will play tomorrow night.

He was also dragging an iron lung and on dialysis. But God bless him, he still gave me a dollar.
September 9th, 2011 at 11:54 PM ^
He has since affixed the iron lung to his wheelchair.
September 9th, 2011 at 11:53 PM ^
How is this your first post yet can make a thread?

our proactive moderation policy has caused the redesign of the iPhone app to correct this bug, especially since we've known about it for over a year. We're even more on top of this than the malware rain we had for a while after the Malware Apocalypse. Plus I still can't get my cat where I want it.

I love dramatic chipmunk!
Though I've always wondered if that's actually a chipmunk...

For what its worth, it is a prarie dog.
September 9th, 2011 at 11:53 PM ^
terrible thread title.
September 9th, 2011 at 11:57 PM ^
Troy should have no problem covering an NFL caliber receiver with a club on his hand.
September 10th, 2011 at 12:00 AM ^
I hate this news...but air bud in a football costume softens the blow...thanks BISB.

Is that what Calvin Johnson says to all the NFL corners?
September 10th, 2011 at 12:01 AM ^
"[Player X] Injury" is only an appropriate thread title if the player was eaten by wolves, has been struck in the head by a former celestial body, or has been bludgeoned to death by the zombie corpse of Richard Nixon.
September 10th, 2011 at 12:31 AM ^

Do you talk people down off ledges professionally, or is it just a hobby you're really shitty at?

Maybe he can get a good hit on Floyd with his Club and get him rattled.
September 10th, 2011 at 1:27 AM ^
he's challenging our RBs for most fragile player on the squad.
If he's sporting a cast, he's sporting a broken bone of some sort. No way he'll be remotely close to 100%. Which means Floyd will be getting Heisman hype by the end of the game.
September 10th, 2011 at 1:37 AM ^
potentially having a good game. If Michigan wins, it won't matter if Floyd has 200 yards and 3 touchdowns. He won't get too much Heisman Hype if Notre Dame is sitting at 0 - 2.
September 10th, 2011 at 2:15 AM ^
Whoop-dee-doo. All a hand cast will do is prevent him from a potential pick. You cover wr's with your legs last I checked.
September 10th, 2011 at 2:40 AM ^
Or wrapping up, or run support, or being physical...
Yeah it's mostly legs, but let's not downplay the hand injury either.
September 10th, 2011 at 6:16 AM ^
Its really not that bad I played middle linebacker for 4 or 5 games with a club in the past and there are very few situations where it actually affects you. He's not going to be able to catch the ball and make a tackle on a guy running away from him by grabbing a handful of jersey but that's about it. On a positive not, you absolutely can use the club to bring the pain when you hit.
September 10th, 2011 at 2:25 AM ^
I couldn't post when I had 5 points. Are they letting anyone and their mom, aunt, and grandma post???????
September 10th, 2011 at 3:27 AM ^
I'm entering this game with a resigned optimism, which could easily turn into the sky is falling oh noes. This does not help.
September 10th, 2011 at 6:14 AM ^
.....in the practice video? He has a "hand owwie", yes, but he'll be out there.
September 10th, 2011 at 6:29 AM ^
take some multi-vitamins man. This anke, that ankle, this hand, that hand. We may want to be thinking plan B at corner already, not sure TW is gonna last.
September 10th, 2011 at 7:31 AM ^
the sky isn't falling. Or is it? Relax everybody! If it was something major coach Hoke wouldn't say it's minor and he wouldn't be playing!
September 10th, 2011 at 8:47 AM ^
Relatedly, in the same interview, Hoke had this to say about Fitz when asked about players who might be in doubt against ND:
Redshirt sophomore running back Fitzgerald Toussaint is "a little beat up," Hoke added, but has done a good job this week in practice. "We'll see where he's at," Hoke added.
September 10th, 2011 at 9:23 AM ^
Well, at least Fitz got in his annual single-game appearance for 2011. I look forward to seeing him again in 2012.
September 10th, 2011 at 9:30 AM ^
Once the season starts, the trade-off between practicing all-out and easing off a little is a tough one. The relative cost of risking practice injuries seems pretty high, although I understand keeping an edge is important, too.
Tough balancing act for Hoke and Co.
September 10th, 2011 at 10:35 AM ^
Look, I know this is your first post and all but do you really gotta say he has a minor hand owwie? You pretty much scared the hell out of every living breathing Michigan fan this morning. Because of this post 95% more fans will drink earlier than planned and therefore be so drunk by the game, they wont even know what happened. Or maybe that will be a good thing.
September 10th, 2011 at 2:03 PM ^
I see this as a good thing. But then again I am an optimist.
September 10th, 2011 at 1:51 PM ^
the responses in this thread are ridiculous. stop lambasting this poor kid for starting this thread, he thought he had some useful info to contribute.
whoever is so feebleminded to freak out or have "head asplode" over an internet message board post, probably deserves a good crack in the nut sack.
September 10th, 2011 at 2:24 PM ^
You're gonna get negbombed if you keep being calm and rational like that.
Seriously though, I abosolutely agree. The guy was just trying to share a little info that he had. No reason to act like he was going around kicking puppies. Let's leave the overly reactionary stuff to the fine couch burners over on RCMB . . . .
