Troy Woolfolk has minor hand owwie

Submitted by Bergs on

I apologize in advance if this is old news but I couldn't find anything on it. My friend has class with Troy and was talking to him today. Apparently Troy is in an arm cast and will be wearing a club. This is my first ever post so again, sorry if it sucks.

Although the fact that I created this profile tonight just to post this doesn't help my case. I check this blog daily this is just the first time I felt I had something to contribute. Apparently a lot of people seem to disagree...

Some people tweeting that Hoke said in the video, "Troy hurt his hand a little bit, but he's doing what we want him to do out there." Then a couple minutes later a radio personality (Fithian) tweets "Troy Woofolk likely has a broken hand." which gets retweeted like mad. It's funny to watch "a little bit" turn into "broken" in Twitter-minutes. (Hoke does seem to downplay injuries though, so it could very well be broken)

our proactive moderation policy has caused the redesign of the iPhone app to correct this bug, especially since we've known about it for over a year.  We're even more on top of this than the malware rain we had for a while after the Malware Apocalypse.  Plus I still can't get my cat where I want it.

"[Player X] Injury" is only an appropriate thread title if the player was eaten by wolves, has been struck in the head by a former celestial body, or has been bludgeoned to death by the zombie corpse of Richard Nixon.

TWolf couldn't stay healthy if he just sat on the bench. He has the worst luck. This is really bad news, naturally this comes on the eve of our biggest home matchup in years. May god have mercy on our secondary. Hopefully a raucous crowd and Dline pressure helps stabilize this. And the answer is no, Re: will he be effective w/ the club?

he's challenging our RBs for most fragile player on the squad.

If he's sporting a cast, he's sporting a broken bone of some sort. No way he'll be remotely close to 100%. Which means Floyd will be getting Heisman hype by the end of the game.

Its really not that bad I played middle linebacker for 4 or 5 games with a club in the past and there are very few situations where it actually affects you. He's not going to be able to catch the ball and make a tackle on a guy running away from him by grabbing a handful of jersey but that's about it. On a positive not, you absolutely can use the club to bring the pain when you hit.

take some multi-vitamins man.  This anke, that ankle, this hand, that hand.  We may want to be thinking plan B at corner already, not sure TW is gonna last.

Relatedly, in the same interview, Hoke had this to say about Fitz when asked about players who might be in doubt against ND:

Redshirt sophomore running back Fitzgerald Toussaint is "a little beat up," Hoke added, but has done a good job this week in practice. "We'll see where he's at," Hoke added.

Once the season starts, the trade-off between practicing all-out and easing off a little is a tough one. The relative cost of risking practice injuries seems pretty high, although I understand keeping an edge is important, too.

Tough balancing act for Hoke and Co.

Look, I know this is your first post and all but do you really gotta say he has a minor hand owwie? You pretty much scared the hell out of every living breathing Michigan fan this morning.  Because of this post 95% more fans will drink earlier than planned and therefore be so drunk by the game, they wont even know what happened.  Or maybe that will be a good thing.

the responses in this thread are ridiculous. stop lambasting this poor kid for starting this thread, he thought he had some useful info to contribute.

whoever is so feebleminded to freak out or have "head asplode" over an internet message board post, probably deserves a good crack in the nut sack.

You're gonna get negbombed if you keep being calm and rational like that.

Seriously though, I abosolutely agree. The guy was just trying to share a little info that he had. No reason to act like he was going around kicking puppies. Let's leave the overly reactionary stuff to the fine couch burners over on RCMB . . . .
