Troubles Continue for Darryl Stonum

Submitted by MGoChippewa on

Looks like the former Michigan WR is being charged with a couple counts of felony assault from an incident involving an ex-girlfriend back in September 2013 in Southfield.  The charges allege he pushed her and threatened her with a knife in one incident and with a hammer in another.  Stonum alleges the charges are false, claiming the woman to be "jealous, manipulative and controlling" through his attorney.  Innocent until proven guilty, but this doesn't look good one bit.  Trial began on Thursday in Oakland County.

I always wonder what would've been in 2012. If he got control of everything and came back for his final year. At least he got the U-M degree.

Him and Tate. Could have both used them in 2012. Especially a senior QB Forcier in that game at Nebraska.

2012 would've been better IMO.

There were almost too many receivers that were good in 2011.

Hemingway, Roundtree, Gallon, Dileo, Odoms, Grady.

Would've been great to have had Stonum in 2012 when half of those guys above graduated.

Roundtree wasn't so hot until the end of the season in 2012. Who knows?

I have to be missing something in this thread because people are getting bent out of shape and I cannot tell why

So people who arrive later in this thread know the context of the question, a GIF file which probably was not the best choice to post in a thread regarding these particular allegations against Stonum was removed (along with its replies). I imagine they meant it as a joke - I sincerely hope they did - but it probably was not the most tasteful one to make here in this thread. To keep the discussion on track, it is now gone.

I am reading a lot of "he said, she said," but they haven't mentioned any actual evidence.  I don't think the situation is nearly as dire as it may appear.
