You, TrippWelborne replied:

"i will take that bet.  i am not going to rationalize the bgsu game or umass game, but from everything i have read from the players they support GERG.  i think these guys are going to get better and better as the season goes on, if they keep healthy."

When are you going to pay me?

Yes, I realize this takes up space and wastes everyones time.  Neg away.  I just want to get paid. Isn't that what America's all about?

Technically Gremlin, Tripp doesnt owe you anything yet. And this kind of proclamation could anger the gambling gods against you.

A guy by the name of Kenny Rogers is in the college football news today, so I'll quote his namesake: never count your money when you're sittin' at the table.

Quoted from experience, btw. More than I want to admit.

the link that says "Tripp Welborne," thinking they'll be some news about, you know, the real Tripp Welbourne. Jokes on me.

Looking forward to your next "hey random dude, I'm calling you out because you said something a couple months ago that didn't turn out to be right" post.

Epic.

Tripp was there for what I consider to be the golden age of Michigan Football. One of the greatest players we've ever had in the secondary. I just remember him driving around campus in a sweet ass corvette with a license plate that read: UR TRPN

Does it bother anyone else that Tripp Welborne's name is being used in what some people might think of as a pejorative way here? He was, to me, one of the most revered Michigan safeties ever, and were it not for a horrible acl tear at the very end of the season, might have had an excellent pro career as well.

I propose that we not use the names of former players, especially great ones, unless we really are those players.

What ever happened to needing a minimum number of points to post a thread? Certainly  it should be a positive number.

I am happy to comply with your request.

By the way, as a Houghton High School alum and, therefore, former Gremlin, I sincerely hope that your user name isn't because you went (or go) to Houghton High.  If so, you are not doing your school proud.

i was looking for some legitimate beef here and maybe a meltdown or two since I haven't seen a good one in a while. And you post this crap.

I am thoroughly disappointed.

but that was only because I was braced to read that something terrible had happened to a player I absolutely adored as a kid.

That said - please change the title to something like: the person who posts under the handle Tripp Welborne.

Thx!

Stop with the self-serving nonsense.  If everyone who thought they were vindicated  about something they said in September started a thread on it we would be swimming in garbage.

Tripp was a star player when I first starting really loving Michigan football as a kid.  I would say that he and Tony Boles were two of my biggest childhood heroes.  Its ironic that both of their careers were derailed by the turf at Minnesota.  Reading about Boles as an adult (and rumeal robonson as well) was an extremely depressing thing for me.
