Triple Doubles and Hamstrings

Submitted by Fresh Meat on
I heard a lot of talk before the season about Manny's hamstring, and it really had me nervous. I was scared that it would hurt his performance and I was scared at all the talk of how this might linger all year and all I could think of was Hummel's back last year. But then Manny got a triple double, against a bad team yes, but this told me two things 1) His hammy isn't bothering him. He looked explosive, confident, and like his regular self. He wouldn't have put up those numbers if he was hobbled. 2) Coach isn't worried about his hammy. Clearly they were leaving him in to get the triple double, and as soon as they got it they took him out. If they were worried about him re-aggravating it or making it worse, he would have played less minutes and they wouldn't have left him in for 3 more assists, not worth the risk. So the very fact that they let him go after the stats is encouraging. So while the triple double is cool all on its own, it really had additional reasons to be happy as well. Here's to hoping he stays healthy
