A tribute, in a way, to Jourdan Lewis
So it appears former Rutgers receiver Leonte Caroo is in the doghouse in Miami, a year after the Dolphins traded up for him. There are, it seems questions regarding his motivation. Which one NFL reporter says isn't surprising based on something they heard from the Kyle Flood staff
Rutgers people straight up told us he didn't play vs Michigan b/c he just didn't want to play against Jourdan Lewis. https://t.co/YkUwMhILxO

Holy crap! Not a competitive bone in his body, apparently. Also, way to coach him up Rutgers!
They had us right where they wanted us at halftime.
Any Rutgers player would have had a better Saturday if they sat out the 2016 game. Caroo was just ahead of his time.
I think it was 2015, when Rutgers went in holding actual bragging rights from the year before.
Despite all of the great things Lewis did on the football field, this might be my favorite thing he ever did.
Scared a guy so bad he faked an injury just to not have to line up against him.
PS: Thanks Delany.

JD was the Gary Payton of college corners.
This seems almost unbelievable. I have never heard of a guy skipping a game because he didn't want to go up against a certain player, on any level of football.
And it would have been worse if not for the long returns they got, but it's more than possible that the staff thought he could go and and he was malingering.
It does seem a little far-fetched but definitely possible. Maybe he just knew JD would make him look bad, and didn't want that showing up on film to NFL scouts. If true, pretty cowardly... But I can see it.
It's hard to think of a higher compliment that could be paid to a DB. That's outstanding.
got exposed against Florida State!
Exposed himself on MGoblog!
Troll
through and through, but JD busted coverage on 2 touchdowns!
Nope. A safety busted coverage on the first deep ball, and he just got beat on the fade. But nice troll, troll...
When the dust settles, JD has got to be considered one of the best DBs we have ever had. His last two years for us were just phenomenal. Having a shutdown corner like that on one side of your D is such a huge asset. Will miss him probably more than any other guy who left from last year's team (yes, even Peppers).
It certainly was a luxury not having to worry at all about one side of the field in the defensive passing game that's for sure I agree.
yeah, I dunno...I think I'd take Caroo at his word before Kyle Flood
Rod Carew is embarrassed that his name is pronounced the same way as this guy's.
Man wtf if you fear competition you shouldn't play sports
