I'd love to tune in, but I wouldn't even be able to hear what he says while my TV is on mute.
This is just speculation, because a 2-hour tv program would be pretty solid, but I think he is talking about the radio show..
My condolences to trey burke
My favorite part of his show is when he says "personal appearance is not show fodder" then proceeds to read an email on how Charlie Weis is fat (FAT)
*crumples up paper and blocks emailer

Am I the only person that doesn't mind Rome? You could do a lot worse on the WWL(Skip Baylis, Screamin A., etc.) or basically any radio jock not named Dan Patrick or Scott Van Pelt.
"Better than Skip Bayless" is not a sufficient argument for the quality of a radio host.
but I actually like Jim Rome. I used to hate him a long time ago, but one summer I got hooked on him. He's annoying at first, but even Rome suggests that new listeners should give his show 2 weeks before making any judgements.
That is how I feel about Petros and Money but I gave Rome far more than 2 weeks and he never stopped annoying me.
I don't mind him either. He's such a caricature. Little 40+ year old dude with a strangely aggressive delivery. I find that concept funny. At the very least, he seems to spout stuff he actually believes, which is totally different than people like Bayless and Smith who choose their opposing opinions yell at each other about sports just because.
all the radio stations out there suck. So I stuck to sports talk and Dan Patrick & Jim Rome were by far the best two. SVP was good too though.
a.) they know everything he is talking about and obviously follow him but they still want to bash him.
B.) they know nothing about him, have never listened, and they hate him.
For me, I find him kind of repetitious but he sets the standard for radio talk shows (at least day time that is). He always has the best interviews and though he is a nut sucker he usually pulls out some interesting information. And sometimes he is spot on funny.

I actually like Rome. He and his crew bring the goods when it comes to getting good guests and interviews. Sometimes the schtick gets old, but that's when I back away from the table for a few days. Even then, he is leaps and bounds better than the local blowhards. The Smack/Hack off is comic gold. RIP Mike in San Diego.
I just heard on the radio that Trey Burke was going to be on Rome, and was going to post it, but I see Barwis Effect beat me to it. This is why I love this blog- a great resource for all things Michigan.
Derpy Dooooo
If I could.
Is he calling in from Bugaha or a Car Phone in the 'Nati?
Just in case anyone was not sure, the second hour is coming up, so here is the link to CBS Sports Radio's player: LINK
Beilein was on back in January and it was a pretty good interview actually, so I'll be interested to listen to this one.
The MSU steal....awesome!
Said it may have been the biggest play he has ever made.
Great representative of Michigan. His parents have to be immensely proud! Wow.
I missed the segment, think there will be a re-post on mgoblue.com?...
I already posted this. How the hell did the OP not see it?
http://mgoblog.com/mgoboard/trey-burke-be-interviewed-jim-rome-today-radio-show
have a link to the interview or know if it will be posted later?
I listened to Rome today for the first time in about 3 weeks only to hear that its J-Stew's last day. It was a tribute show to J-Stew interupted by 3 interviews. After 14 years as phone slappie, he's moving on to bigger and better things (terrible actor)
Yeah, I'm curious to know where J-Stew goes from here. No offense to J-Stew, but I'm not sure what other talents he has, or what he considers to be "bigger and better". We know he can't act or sing. Goat voiced, Betttttterrrr Maaaaannn.
Rome's number one fan.
Hey all,
It seems like Burke is gaining momentum for the Player of the Year award; his recent play and endorsements by Bilas and other major pundits bode well for his cause. We all know who the other major candidates are. Burke is the odds on favorite. That is, Vegas is saying it is more likely to be him than anyone else--combined. The second in the projections is, of course, Oladipo. Could this award be decided by the Indiana-Michigan game on Sunday?
