IMHO this closes the book on any negative discussion of Trey Burke's size.  He is on track to be a high lottery pick.  GO BLUE!

how could height with shoes vary that much when they all have identical heights without shoes?  based soley on the footwear one chooses?  why even take that measurement then?  i'm really short, but if i wear stilts, i'll be an NBA player!

Chris Paul is the best comparison.  Conley, IIRC, was a sensational athlete who was still learning to play basketball (relative to the 2 comps above).  Paul and Burke both have the off-the-charts basketball IQ to dominate games even though when the opposing PG is a better athlete (something Burke will face most nights in the pros).

Chris Paul's first step is not nearly the quickest in the NBA.. Derrick Rose, Westbrook, Wall, Rondo, Bledsoe and a few others have a quicker first step. He and Trey are bothvery similar in that regard. Chris is slightly more explosive but the gap isn't large at all.

That should put to rest any qustions of whether Burke is "too small" to play in the NBA.  Put him out there on the floor and see what he can do.  He should be allowed to succeed or fail based on his ability, not on some arbitrary belief that he is too short.

No one has ever said "Trey Burke is too short for the NBA." So this doesn't put anything to rest. The knock is that he lacks ideal NBA size, and this doesn't refute that. Chris Paul is extremely good despite his size. This is like saying Jeremy Gallon doesn't lack ideal NFL WR size because Steve Smith. All this proves is that a couple guys burke's size have made it in the NBA, but we already knew that. It still makes him shorter than most who play the position.

People must have short memories.

I'm not talking about too short to be a NBA player of any kind, but too short to be a lottery pick?  Absolutely some people said that..   There were people convinced that with Michigan listing him at 6' 1" he must actually be about 5' 10".

Maybe they haven't said it recently, but is has been said during his Michigan career, and more than once.  Hell, before his freshman year some people were worried that he was too short to be effective in the Big Ten!!

OK, well if people where saying that because they didn't really know how tall he was or because they're just idiots, then I can't really speak to that.  But no intelligent person said that height alone would preclude Trey from an NBA career.

It's like Mike Hart.  People said his size might keep him from having a successful NFL career.  If I would have posted his height and weight next to that of Barry Sanders and said, "See, this should put to rest any concerns people have with Mike Hart's size" it doesn't really mean anything, right?

Just because Chris Paul is under 6'0" and really good doesn't mean that every NBA team is champing at the bit to draft a 5'11" PG.

Burke's small head gets him pegged at 6'1, but it looks like he's more comparable to a 6'2 or 6'3 player for all purposes other than seeing over the defense.

Similar size. Both can score big or get lots is assist. Both great controlling the ball in half court or running the break. Burke prob better 3pt shooter. KJ maybe more athletic.

i think a lot of these guys cheat a bit on the height scale when reporting height, saves face sometimes. Even Chris Paul isn't as tall as he states on the sheets.

I know a bunch of them wear height insoles to weigh in and stats days to cheat the sheet, https://www.addheight.com had that confirmed, but wouldn't name names.
