But I do see over 600 posts on whether a Michigan player is going to leave or not. I really can't  see 1/10th that on whether a Spartan is going pro around here. Obsess much?

From the little I've read they're trying to justify that we will still be taking a step back by saying things like Burke is bound to regress, McGary is overrated, we won't have any leadership without Novak and Douglass, our incoming freshmen won't fit Beilein's system, etc.

So it seems like they're making a bunch of assumptions to convince themselves that Michigan won't be a major contender in the B1G next year.

Meltdown? Maybe not. Overly obsessive? Very much so.

Tremendous news.    I was in an admittedly gloomy mood waiting to hear Trey's decision.   Welcome back!

Our PG situation suddenly looks very nice.   We have Albrecht in the fold for instant depth and no pressure to run the show next year, then Walton arrives in '13.   So this probably means no major PG recruiting for the '14 class?

YES!!!!! I LOVE ALL OF YOU!  Honestly, he made a great decision for his future and I am glad he really thought things through.  Going through the whole "thinking he was going pro" thing will make me and other Michigan fans appreciate him coming back that much more.

Get ready for some classic IU vs. Michigan games next year...

Playing IU in basketball, when they are good, is the most exciting matchup for me.

Growing up watching during the Fab Five years(when I started really getting into the basketball team) IU was my second least favorite team behind duke.  Damon Bailey, Calbert Cheaney and Allan Henderson made them easy to hate and living in indiana didn't hurt the cause either.  Would love to be able to have that hatred re-newed with better on-court results of course.

So this one time, there was this guy named Trey Burke, and he was loved for his immense skill on the basketball court.

When rumors spilled of him leaving for the NBA, those who loved him were then found with a wide range of emotions.  Some were angry, others questioned their religious beliefs, and most of them just cried.  Only few held hope for the future.

However, just when all hope seemed to be lost, Trey had a sudden change of heart.  And.. ah screw it.

HECK YES TREY'S COMING BACK!!!!

If TB continues to work for improvement, he could be a lottery pick. I hope the team has a great offseason. Go Blue

Heard it on my ESPN update app and very happy to hear this! Trey is obviously smarter than Sullinger. He knows he's not ready so he wants to stay and help lead his team to another title. Jared think's he's ready when he isn't and wants to make money. Hats off to Burke! GO BLUE!

sure, putting this together with the Neil Diamond song is a little sappy, and more than a little creepy...

but if I told you I didn't lose any sleep over this, I'd be lying

My tickets for the December UM vs. WVa game arrived within hours of this announcement. Fortunately, it is not bittersweet. Just sweet.
