Trey Burke #1 in KenPom POY

After Wednesday's games, Trey Burke took over the #1 spot on Ken Pomeroy's POY ranking system, leaping over Lousville's Russ Smith and Duke's Marshall Mason Plumlee.  Following another solid performance on Thursday, Trey has added to his lead.

 

EDIT:  Didn't realize the kPOY standings were paywalled, my apologies there.  Here is a quick snippet of the top five:

 

1 Trey Burke, Michigan 2.341
2 Russ Smith, Louisville 2.275
3 Mason Plumlee, Duke 2.112
4 Cody Zeller, Indiana 2.009

Hope he wins the Wooden Award and gets All American! My dad said it best: "Trey Burke is like that high school girlfriend that is way out of your league. You know she's going to leave you, but you enjoy her while she lasts". I don't think Trey will be coming back, so lets win a Big Ten and National Championship while we have him!

I think I saw something on ESPN that said he's shot less than 30% from the field in 3 of his last 5 games. That, combined with the Miami game really hurt his POY stock.

OP said Marshall Plumlee, but he's been out all year with a foot injury so I doubt he's getting POY consideration.

I said Marshall and of course meant Mason, as has been pointed out by several posters.  My bad.

Secondly, my apologies about the kPOY standings being paywalled.  I didn't realize that.

Whats the deal with the Kenpom paywall? I know Brian and Ace liberally publish paywalled things from Kenpom.

Seems backwards to me. Mgoblog doesn't publish paywalled recruiting info, yet doesn't seem to respect the recruiting sites. Mgoblog has a ton of respect for Kenpom, but basically every paywalled piece of information that would be interesting to a Michigan basketball fan is published on the front page.

There is a TON of interesting info on Kenpom that is not shared here. I think the ratio is about the same, actually...a small amount of info is published here that sort of leaves you salivating for more.
