You are a really dense individual.
landing spot. will be interesting to see how he does.
You are a really dense individual.
Know thy enemy
Never hurts to see things from the perspective of our biggest rival
Just like towelie is the worst character ever you're the worst poster ever.
I agree; but then again none of us were probably able to keep our mouth shut when we were 14.
said it better myself. Next time someone says something rediculous like this I will remind them to bring a towel...you wanna get high?
Maybe because they're our biggest rivals and we would like to know about how good they might be in 2-4 years?
Buddy, if negs still counted you'd be the President of Bolivia. I down vote you every time.
You talk funny
What he just said?
Meyer admitted he cheated eh? Is this Michael Rosenberg posting?
and that picture work together. It's almost like evil/high/unfortunately-weighted-eyeball Ronald McDonald is reading one of Hawking's books.
Ronald's eyes are messin' with my mind man!
The Necronomicon? I'd guess?
....to do research on hotels before you take a trip to Bolivian:
Well I for one take great joy in watching them lose just about anything. As they are the other half of the oft-proclaimed greatest rivalry in sports, I'd say it's pretty relevant.
Michigan tradition at all?
Well you already failed the first question not knowing who Scot Loeffler was..
That's not an excuse. Your ID is "MrMario86". Loeffler was there during Manningham's entire career at Michigan. Besides, if you don't know who somebody is, it's not that hard to look up somebody's name with the internet these days.
What's There and Out?
I know you are but what am I?
I haven't read it yet.
I believe it's the never before seen alternate ending to There and Back Again by Bilbo Baggins.
93 pages in 41 days. Wow! The speed reading courses have really paid off.
I have to say, I agree with Mr.Mario. Why pander to the propaganda 11 warriors has to spew over how good Ohio State will be?
Would you click on a thread that says "Breaking Down Ohio's Class..." if you don't want to read about Ohio's class?
Question of the day!!!
If he's counting on Decker and Schutt to provide immediate presence on OSU's depleted lines, he's sadly mistaken. Washington and Dodson are great gets, both will be able to contribute early and often. How Urban Meyer convinced a back the style of Bri'onte Dunn to sign, absolutely blows me away. (See square peg round hole) Warren Ball has a lot of ability, I just don't even he fits that scat back mold that Urban thrives on.
I love your logic on Dunn, his signing made little to no sense to me. I am guessing that he gave into the pressure from family and friends to mantain the status quo. Toussaint has another 2 years years to display his ability for all to see. Poor Bri'onte, life is gonna suck.
He is gonna hate life in the spread for the next 4 years... So sad to see wasted talent, I mean shit go to Wisconsin if the pressure is to much for considering UM but don't put yourself in a horrible position
But that happens when you are still in "high school"
Meyer must have done something.
I think Dennis Norfleet fits Urbans style and Dunn fits ours. I also think Norfleet will have better college career than Dunns.
You really don't understand the full concepts of an Urban Meyer offense. Which as an Alabama fan, I assumed you would, seeing as how you played him and that offense during its zenith a few times. The power-I, downhill running style of traditional "Ohio State" offenses is simply combined with jet motion from other offensive backs. Just because a WR/RB hybrid (Percy Harvin, in previous years, and Possibly Stefon Diggs/Verlon Reed/etc.) comes across the formation pre-snap doesn't change the fact that a 250 pound monster (Tim Tebow or Dunn) is slamming into the line off-guard/tackle in a traditional running style. Urban Meyer's big, power back was Tim Tebow (that worked out well, right?) now it will be Bri'onte Dunn. Meyer looks to create mis-matches in space, he likes to flood defenses with overwhelming offensive advantages in numbers (3 blockers and a back vs. 2 defenders). It's power football, just run from a non-traditional set. Read this before you make sweeping generalizations about things you don't know anything about.
but this guy is a shameless homer.
I literally laughed out loud at this line "I am going to say this class wins two conference titles and one national championship." l think this class has only 2 years playing with braxton miller at qb then will have its final years with a newcommer so basically in those two years they have to accomplish that. Sure its possible but to have that as the expectation is borderline rediculous.
I would say that if you read the recruiting roundtable that a group of us did about a month ago, all but one poster predicted two conference titles and at least two of them predicted a MNC as well. I don't really think homerism has any bounds. You're always going to get optimism when talking about your own team.
I call myself a very optimistic and huge Michigan fan. But after watching the NC this year I don't know how any Michigan fan could say this team, no matter how great our recruiting class was is in line to win a national championship without some additional MAJOR pieces.
Yes, we re not in the shape to beat the SEC guys, but hope joke can turn these recruits into stars
I hope that was a typo. I'm withholding my neg because I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt. It's unfortunate that j and h are so close together.
One NC? Wow, that's pretty impressive. (I'd have to agree with Wolv-15 - this dude is a big time homer. The fact that he mentions it in the beginning is evidence enough.
But, you know what has to happen for OSU to win a NC? In all likelyhood, having to beat an SEC team. So, the good news is that we don't have to worry about that for awhile.
They're still officially 0 and 9 against the SEC.
Is it really some homer to suggest that a team that won the big ten title 6 years in a row from 2005-2010 could possibly win 2 in the next 4-5 years with a top 5 recruiting class and Urban Meyer at the helm? I'd dare to say they might win 3 or 4. The MNC really isn't that far-fetched either. Optimistic, but not far-fetched
There are a lot less championships to go around these days. Ohio wouldn't have even won its division in 2005, 2008 and 2010, so there would be no chance of a championship, and in 2006, 2007 and 2009 they would have had to beat #3 M, #18 M and #7 Iowa, respectively. They would have more like two championships with the current format.
less of this...
less of this...
more of this....
substantially more of this...
a lot more of that...
My favorite part of the interview was where he said Defensive line is so important on an Urban Meyer team. Who was responsible for those defensive lines? Greg Mattison.
Really interesting interview. I always try to follow recruiting of all big ten teams and take specialized interest in our two biggest rivals (OSU and MSU). It would be really cool to get discussions with bloggers from some of the other major conference bloggers like you suggested (PSU, Wisky, Neb.) and maybe ND? I live in Indiana and hate ND with a passion but I try to follow there recruiting almost as much as Michigan's just because most of my friends are huge ND homers...Also, know a lot of OSU fans too but meh that is a different story...I always think it is important to know our rivals recruiting classes just because it makes us seem more intelligent then other fanbases. I know this may not be the case but it seems like all the Michigan fans I talk to know our rivals recruiting classes well but every OSU and ND fan I know rarely know anything other then there own recruiting information. Out of OSU's class I think Washington and Spense will be tough for our OL to handle for the next few years, but I am also very confident in our group. I am not really worried about schutt or pittman as much on the DL but I could be wrong. I am just hoping OSU doesn't get diggs...I think Warren Ball could be a nice player for OSU in this class and like others have mentioned idk why Dunn decided to stay committed to OSU. Doesn't make much sense to me, but oh well hope he doesn't see the field and regrets not going blue. If we can get issac or devon smith or possibly both in this class then I will be very happy with not getting Dunn.
with anything he said because I think Michigan will win 2 B1G titles and two NC's, in that same time period.
Really enjoyed the read, aquaman. Keep 'em coming.
If they had 4 years to win 2 B1G titls and a NC, I'd say it's a fairly realistic expectation. But they've only got 3 considering the bowl ban (although some will have 4 b/c they RS), so it might be a bit of a stretch. Although OSU is still the most talented team in the conference so Meyer has a good base to work with just like he did at Florida with Zook's recruiting.
I hate Eleven Warriors. I think that at least on MGOBOARD we get at least some semblance of intelligent discussion. Eleven Warriors is like the Fox News of the College football blog world. If you go down and look at the comments on the articles it's even worse. Barely coherent, rambling Ohio fans drinking colt 45's well hacking their neighbors Wi-Fi and reading poorly written articles. Well indulging themselves in arrogant Ohio propoganda. Although, I do agree it is good to keep tabs on the enemy. I'm glad someone else does it though.
I'm kinda shocked that he would of preferred having Ross rather than Pipkins. Their defensive line would seem almost unstoppable if that were the case, very interesting take. This may be a stupid question, but did 11 warriors interview aqua the same way for their site?
It might be happening, but I told Alex that it wasn't necessary if they weren't looking to go in that direction.
I really have to question aquaman at some point. Is he trying to deliver some real info? Is he really just doing these interviews for me or you? Everytime i read his so called info or interview, its already posted on another site. Do you get paid for doing what we can all see somewhere else? Maybe i'm wrong but my best insight tells me you are just someone who wants to be noticed as an insider.
