Treadwell to Ole Miss

Great talent going to Ole Miss... I feel like that's a waste. He could have went anywhere.

This may be a blessing in disguise.  He may end up being a great player and that's fine.  Michigan will do just fine without him.  He will probably be ''The Man'' at Ole Miss, I followed him on Twitter for awhile and he seems to be the type of kid that's all about the glitz and glamour.  If that's true, maybe he didn't think he would get the attention he wants at Michigan.  We may never know, but I won't miss him that's for sure.

I honestly haven't given this kid a second thought in weeks. I'm more focused on getting Derrick Green wrapped up.

He must like racism.

Too much hostility here. Congrats to Treadwell for choosing that and where he'll attend college. He gets to play with a childhood friend in what's obviously an excellent conference. We'll probably see him in the NFL one day.
Michigan will be fine. Our last couple receiving classes, though not ideal, aren't as awful as some of you imply. They just look weak compared to our stellar recruiting elsewhere. If you believe that football teams should be built from WRs in, I know a former Lions GM whom you'd find brilliant.

Nice announcement. He'll remember team#134 when they bring home the bacon and Ole miss watches bowl games from home. Cant remember Ole Miss actually winning a SEC championship let alone a string of games. Shaking my head and cant figure out. Coaches know best but damn lets stay away from Crete Monee lol.

I wonder if he was hungry for cats like Yuri Wright was...anyone see anything about cats on Laquon's twitter up until his commitment?

Treadwell & Standifer would have been 2 good additions. Hopefully UM can land Morgan for 2014 and break the Crete Monee drought (which also means Crete better get their transcript & paperwork issues resolved).

No matter where a player goes, if he has talent he will show it and move on to NFL.. Sometimes good players like being in avg teams so that way they stand out more.

Normally I just say "to each his own" and move on but this one I really don't get. This kid could have played anywhere. I get the sundresses notion, but it if that's all he cared about then he could have done better overall at USC, Texas, Alabama, Georgia, etc. This one is a head-scratcher.

and he's not even from Mississippi to give it the 'hometown school' thing. He could've probably gone to any BCS school he wanted to and he picked probably one of the 5 most pathetic. Strange choice. I expect that the next time I hear his name is when he's a 4th round draft back in 4-5 years

George Wallace stood in the schoolhouse door at the University of Alabama in 1963 in an attempt to prevent the integration of that august institution, and that didn't prevent Vivian Jones and James Hood from enrolling, even though they certainly were aware of the open and virulent hostility of the majority of their white classmates and Tuscaloosa residents. If they were able to deal with it, I wouldn't expect that guys like Standifer or Treadwell would be frightened away from Mississippi. Racism is obviously still around, but it's a far cry from the days when the Klan operated openly without any opposition.

That kid seemed a little too interested in all the attention. Either way, we'll be fine. Go Blue!

Whatever happened with him, I saw that he was still waiting for an Oregon offer that has yet to come, and didn't look like he committed anywhere.  Top notch track speed and an athletic wide receiver sounds like a good combo to me.
