and got a 28. I didnt remember I had to take it until 12:30 the night before. It was the saturday morning after homecoming game and I called a buddy to find out why he wasnt out with the rest of us and he told me he had ACT in the morning. OOPS, so did I.  I dont suggest it be the norm but it can be done.

I'll do you one better.  I forgot my calculator and still got a 30 on the math portion.  I owe my high school diploma to exams and tests.  Had it been homework based, I would be flipping burgers instead of going to college.

I was suggesting he was prepared to take it, but was hoping to change it.  Not everyone studies for the ACT, I sure didn't.  Or maybe he thought the test was earlier in the morning or our game was later.  Maybe it's some other logical explanation that I just haven't posted about yet.

Point is, we don't know enough to say "geez, what kind of kid doesn't know about his own ACT."

Sounds like he was planning on trying to make it to the game after he takes his ACT in the morning... which actually may not be that big of a stretch when you think about it being a 1530 game.  But then throw in a 3 hour drive, game traffic, other unforeseen details...

what are you doing on UM's board?  Did you do your undergrad at M?  And if you did, and you're posting on a UM board, why isn't your logo a U of M logo?  I just think its weird that you're on a Michigan board with a Big 12 school logo and username, and I don't know why you'd spend the time doing so.  I'm not trying to be a troll myself, I just genuinely don't understand why you're here.

I'm getting my grad degree from Northern Illinois, but you don't see me doing an NIU logo for my picture.

You have a point, he could legitimately want to actually be here for discussion.  If that is the case then I apologize to Mr. Tech.

I think I'm just a little testy today because the little guy in the photo on the left is teething and I haven't slept well in a week, so perhaps I am a bit quick on the trigger today.

I'm from Atlanta and my undergrad is from Georgia. However, both of my parents are from Michigan and I grew up watching and going to Michigan games when I could. Hence, I really like Michigan. Enough so that I actually made the trip from Lubbock to Dallas to see the game last week.

As far as the Texas Tech name and logo, why not? I can root for more than one team, and I figure since I go to all of the home games I might as well not fight being a fan.. Right now I have three teams to watch on Saturdays, and you know what? It's a ton of fun. Immersing yourself in three different cultures is wonderful.

I feel like being a Tech fan might be a bit more exciting than being a NIU fan anways. I don't blame you for not throwing the logo up :)

And on a side note, RollDamnTexasTech is one of the greatest things I've ever heard. Guns up.

It was a nice town! I went to some games back when they had the run and gun coach,I forgot his name but it was in the early 90s. TT was not that good at the time but the spread offense was fun to watch.

I always wore my Michigan shirts and caps around town. There were a few local Michigan fans there.

Question - what was the campus impression of Leach being fired?  Did they feel that their only real success was just thrown away because Craig James is a bitch?  That's what I would think, but you never know how the actual students feel about certain situations.

There is still a lot of anger at the school for letting Leach go. I'd have to say at least 80% of the students that I talk to about it want him back, and that may be a low number. I was out the other night when Leach had his start at wash st. Everywhere I went had the game on tv with cheers for Leach. I know I was.

The administration here is a little insane, and most of the anger directed at them on account of their being viewed as inept. Our chancellor just left for 'bama though, so maybe the bright news will be that he kicks Saban haha.

Thanks! But no need for welcomes, I've been lurking here for a while a long time.

I guess I could have just said that, but I don't like taking the easy way out when there is an absurdly more difficult and demanding alternative.  It's probably a good thing I'm not a coach. 4th and 20 from our own 5 yd line in the first quarter? Sounds like we should go for it.

when JFox was 17 he spelled surprise wrong on a term paper and thus he had to stick with that decision the rest of his life, there was no going back, no matter how big an impact this small decision was going to have on the rest of his life. no, JFox was 17, he did something once and by the time a person is 17 they should be fully aware of the consequences of every single small decision forever.

Seriously, what's more important?!! Attending his 5th Michigan game against a mountain west opponent or taking a test that dictates his future??
