Per Tom VH's twitter:
@TomVH: Confirmed that WR Laquon Treadwell will be announcing his decision on Thursday at 5 between Ole Miss, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.
Too bad I thought he would be the next #1.
[EDIT] Date set for Thursday January 17th.
Glad to see academics played a role in his decision. I mean, that is what being a student athlete is all about.

Yeah, we get the MSU trash talk, but if you're going to talk about the undergrad programs around the country as being entirely inferior you're just an idiot.
Go Blue!
That is a common theme on this board. As someone who spent a lot of time around UVA grass, I find this trait particularly annoying in Michigan fans.
I'm not sure what that means. Are you saying UVA fans don't belittle other schools with their superiority complex? If so, you haven't spent as much time on UVA grass as I have. And it sure seems like you're doing the same thing that annoys you about Michigan fans. Maybe you should put your pot in the cupboard and move your glass house away from that UVA grass . . .
Disgruntled former moderator. I got a lot of problems with you people!
It's like seeing your ex's wedding announcement. I'm moving on.
Does anybody have an explanation for why Treadwell went from a supposed Michigan lock to not even considering us? I realize that he is a teenagers, etc.. I was just wondering if there was a particular reason.

She says oh yeah I'm total interested but not now, but you hold out hope. You hang around her hoping that she'll finally come to and be your girl but there was always something missing. After like a yeat of this, she picks the jock bro and says you should still be friends. Thats why.
That girl usually doesn't pay to come visit you several times though. Something soured in the relationship here.
"Michigan Defense" is dominating everything, in every aspect of life. That's a rough definition.

17 years old and free trips to the Big House, I mean hell I've went to games for teams I could care less about but I had awesome (free) seats so why not?
I truly believe we were the leaders early on but then with all the attention he was getting he decided to look around and found a hotter girl, no worries on that and its on to the next one.

Has hot chicks, and one of his best friends. Ok. State has a really nice offense for receivers. Oklahoma has a pretty darn good program too, played in a couple of BCS title games, wide open offense typically. For the past two years he watched denard run crazy, not a ton of passing happening here lately. These are the only reasons I can come up with. Wherever he goes, may he have success except when he plays the wolverines...
Denard Robinson......They're not going to catch him!
I thought I read somewhere that it was the coaches who cooled on him.
If I were a receiver who wanted the ball badly, I'd go to Oklahoma or Oklahoma State (of the given choices).
Let's see which ole miss booster will step up and fork over the money.

If they get Treadwell and Nkemdiche it will be very telling...
"I think Hoke has changed the tide on the rivalry. Hell people in Ohio are starting to believe him. Never in a million years I would have thought that. Selling Michigan jerseys is a good start."
Not sure whats wrong with Treadwell wanting to play ball with his best friend and Nkemdiche wanting to play ball with his brother I think it's really that simple. I would much rather have Nkemdiche's brother and Standifer here than some of our incoming Wide Out recruits especially since with along with them come the number 1 Player in the nation and number 1 Wide out. Not a bad trade off for taking two lower prospects.
I was aware of Standifer but didn't know about Nkemdiche's brother. Now I look like an ass

Did he ever visit Oklahoma and Oklahoma State? Just curious... stopped paying attention to him a while ago.
He visited OU on Dec 14. He has a visit with Ok St. this weekend.
From mind of Mike:
Ole Miss is the team to beat right now heading into an official to Oklahoma State this weekend. Treadwell has two officials left after this weekend, if he wants to take them, so a surprise program could enter the picture. But right now, it's Ole Miss.
Greetings from Bolivia.

Sorry, really doesn't smell right. Oklahoma is an elite program and Oklahoma State hs great passing offenses and have developed NFL recievers. Ole Miss just doesn't make sense. Not like he has family ties there. Smells fishy.

His buddy from Crete Anthony Standifer is there. I have a feeling that has something to do it.
His friend and former Michigan commit Anthony Standifer goes to Ole Miss... but I still have no idea why anyone would want to go to Ole Miss. I'm guessing Ok. St. gets him. Whatever happens, best of luck to him.
Hoke 2016
He who was a former commit to our 2012 class is there and I think that's how the connection got started. Still though, why a 5* receiver would elect to go to the saddest of all SEC programs is a bit beyond me, best friends be damned
Have a look at Ole Miss's entrance requirements. It's harder to get into Country Day. That's why Standifer ended up there last year.
His best friend and former Michigan recruit Anthony Standifer goes there. There is no love loss between the Standifer's and Michigan either. This is the major reason Treadwell isn't attending UofM. If Standifer was here Treadwell would have been a Wolverine months ago.
Wish him the best, but that shipped sailed a long time ago. I'm sure he'll pick the best program for him, but I could not care less about where he decides to play football.
Oh well. Michigan will get along just fine without him.
It's been a lot. Its been a roller coaster that for some reason seemed like it would never get good. But you know what? We kept fighting. It's like that old saying goes, "Those Who Stay Will Be Champions." -David Molk
Can we stop posting things about Treadwell. His involvement with Michigan is over. This means nothing.
THIS IS MICHIGAN
I was hoping he would change his mind have a official here and commit to us
As soon as i get 100 points I'm up voting and down voting ever comment on this site!!!
He wants to go to Ole Miss to be with his friend Anthony Standifer like he says. Do we want a kid interested in winning (us, Ok, and Ok. State are simply better football schools than Ole Miss) or do we want someone interested in hanging out with his friend at a bottomfeeder school in the SEC? You guys decide.
EDIT: He's visited OK and Ole Miss so there's still a chance OK (or OK St.?) get him...
"I mean, everyone does ... kills people, murders people, steals from you, steals from me."
"We ain't come here to play school"
Meh.
Denard has spent the offseason working really hard and smiling at people.
If I were a young Wide Receiver I'd be pretty interested in playing at Texas Tech or A&M next year. Baylor, even, will offer a wideout plenty of opportunities to make a name for himself, but that's just me.
How many times have you been on the freeway and had someone fly by you at 100 mph then end up 2 cars ahead of you at the off ramp? What's the point? -Mark Harmon
I wouldn't be interested in A&M if I were a WR, due to the other 10 reciever-like recruits they are signing this year, in addition to the overall 35 verbals they are taking. Although I heard that 7 are early commits, so they are really signing 28...
for quite some time now. Good luck Mr. Treadwell. Sorry you couldn't live out your collegiate career in a winged helmet.
I love Greg Mattison
