Trailer: HBO Real Sports Feature on Harbaugh
It's interesting seeing 50-year-old Harbaugh doing an impression of 10-year-old Harbaugh doing an impression of Rick Leach.

Oh, and here's a SPOILER ALERT: Harbaugh used to worship a coach named Schembechler.
It airs Tuesday evening. Should be worth a view.

You can tell he practiced that impression for years. Also, WD will post that pic he mentions in under five minutes.

Holy shit! Is he wearing JEANS?

No, in color you can see they are khakis, or maybe corduroys. Or maybe faded jeans. It's just a good thing he's wearing pants.

Denim khakis. Don't let the smooth taste fool you.

This guy IS Michigan. It's cool seeing him so giddy in an empty stadium talking about memories from 40 years ago.

Can't embed from iPad but here's the vid link to the Leach touchdown

Honestly hope a big part of the show is just him reminiscing out on the field. Really cool.

Yup, that's a sharpie and notepad in his front pocket...
Now I can't wait to watch the whole thing!
I'll be watching definitely - just this scene alone, right down to his re-enactment of Leach's pre-snap routine, was fun to watch. It is nice to see shows like "Real Sports" also bringing recognition to the program and what is going on here through these interviews though. As we've discussed at length around these parts - Harbaugh being himself keeps Michigan in the spotlight.
in all the right ways.

It's is absolutely amazing how genuine and how deep his love and passion for Michigan is. Nobody who ever said he'd never leave the NFL has a clue what this place means to him. It's scary to think what we're on the verge of witnessing. God I hope he can deliver on at least half of what the potential is for him in this position. As a grad with amazing memories of running around that field after beating Ohio St in 97 I can only imagine the joy he has going to work everyday surrounded by the memories of all the amazing experiences he had there.

That is exactly why I had no doubts about him coming back. This wasn't just some college gig that had become open; this was his home. Things had come full circle for him. Disney couldn't make a better story.

It's also why I tried to temper my expectations during the hiring process. For him to have rejected us again would've been devastating. I don't know that the program could've recovered. If a guy who loves this place and this job this much and was born to do it would've passed, we'd be in some serious dire straits.
reliving that moment like that. . . you think he would reenact Dwight Clark's catch in '81 when he coached the Niners? Doubtful
So glad he is our guy. . .

For those of us that were Michigan fans as kids, nothing would be cooler than being in Harbaugh's position there. Those memories as a young fan are something I will always cherish. Sometimes I still get just as excited thinking about those games that I saw as a kid. I bet Harbaugh's love for Michigan is 10x as great as mine. You could see the excitement on his face as he recalled that touchdown. We couldn't have a more perfect fit for a coach.
Can't imagine how excited he gets to go to work every day. I know the NFL is the ultimate test of competition in the game of football, but he just seems so much more at ease and in love with what he's doing here vs. being with the 49ers.
Coupling that with the fact that he is treated as a god in Ann Arbor, I can see why he seems so happy.

Can we schedule Duke again?
hardly exaggerating. They'd likely beat us in a game played today or early this year. Definitely the last two. That's why coach is here.

don't, not funny. missed autocorrect. my fault.
Is this where I can vent my frustration that HBO Go does not live stream fights (Matthysse/Provodnikov or any others)?
Cuz all these caveats to actual cord-cutting bullshit is really starting to piss me off.

Agree re: cord cutting. It's much easier for those who don't care about live sports.
I just noticed "HBO now" on my Apple TV and on my iPhone App Store ... It doesn't work with my cable provider but it could be HBO trying to solve your problem.
That man is our Hero and God.
Easy there francis

How can one watch this without having HBO...
The competition with anyone and with anything continues. The press copy of the HBO profile has video and audio of Harbaugh shouting generally at Michigan players in spring practice to “huddle the fuck up” and telling one specific player, “I’m just telling you the right way to do it. If you want to look at me with that look, go fucking someplace else.”

on his twitter page?
According to a USA Today article, Alex Boone is quoted in the HBO feature talking about how the players hated Harbaugh because he was too Gung Ho. Sounds like sour grapes from a fat ass Bucknut that can't let it go.
He calls jimmy "clinically insane"
Yeah I do hope they get a couple other player opinions who didn't go to OSU to see if they say the same or not. He did get pushed out for something though. Better suited for the college game I guess.
