Track update on Football players
The last update someone gave was the Meyo Invite so I'm just going to run down everything since the duel against osu that was on BTN.
Simmons-Harvey Invitational:
Troy Woolfolks track debut saw him take 8th in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.10, and 6th in the 200 meter dash at 23.05.
Rod McCravy Memorial Meet:
Denard Robinson returned for the first time since his win in "The Duel" with osu. He finished 9th in the 60 meter dash.
Je'Ron Stokes made his debut in the 60 meter hurdles in the prelims he ran 8.77, but did not make the finals.
Meyo Invite:
Denard took 5th in the 60 meter dash with 6.84.
Troy Woolfolk ran the 60 meter dash also he ran a 7.03 in the prelims, but did not make the finals.
Je'Ron Stokes was slated to run the 60-meter hurdles. He false-started during heat six and did not run.
Grand Valley State Big Meet:
Je'Ron Stokes finished 36th in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.87.
Silverston Invitational:
Denard finished 4th in the 60 meter dash with a time of 6.95.
Troy Woolfolk tied for 7th in the 60 dash at 7.05. He also finished 4th in the 200 meter dash at 22.65.
Je'Ron Stokes took 7th in the 60 hurdles at 8.75.
Up next for the track team is the Big Ten Indoor Championships in Minneapolis, Minn this weekend.
EDIT: The Big Ten Indoor Championships will be televised on the BTN on Tuesday March 9th at 9pm.
Also Denards fastest 60 is 6.81 which is .22 Slower then the fastest person in the NCAA this year. 6.81 makes Denard the 70th!!! fastest person at the 60 in the NCAA this year.

I couldn't read your post, Distik. I was distracted by your avatar.

to get Denard in the backfield with Tate. There could be like a halfback option pass where Denard has the option to pass or run. That's just such a waste of an athlete if he's on the bench for like 90% of the game.

Thanks for this, Distik.
Big Ten Speed is the new SEC Speed. :)

False: Michigan Speed is the new SEC Speed
The rest of the Big Ten is still slow
Edit: Oh and thanks for the update Distik, it is much appreciated during these non-football months.

the next few meets I'll probably do another one with better presentation like who UM was up against and where the meet was. More informative. I did'nt really know if there would be much interest, plus its one more topic that has nothing to do with yesterday.

on this website there is never a shortage of interest in FACTUAL news relating to the Football team. Mike Martin could be putting a shot and I would still be interested.

If I had known Michigan was running at a meet at GVSU, I definitely would have made an effort to be there.

Just wait guys, in a couple years we are going to be playing with SEC speed against Big Ten competetion. Like Rich Rod said revenge is sweet.

Did anyone ever mention if they have heard how much denard weighs now? His arms look like they have doubled in size from last year. Hopefully that means he will hold onto the ball more this year.

Finishing 36th in anything must suck.
