The Toussaint wishing well

Submitted by mgoblueballer on

Give it up with the eternal wishing that Fitz Toussaint is gonna be some mysterious weapon that gets unleashed and saves the day the next 2 games. Yeah he is a fighter, yeah he has has terrible luck, and yeah, I hope he can be 100% and get some PT. But there are many people that still need to get the delusions out of their head. He is an average back at best, injured or not. Our future at RB is not Fitz Toussaint or Mike Cox. It's Smith and Hopkins. Get used to it.

Thanks for clearing the RB situation up for us coach. Dee Hart and Shaw would also like you to go fuck yourself as well.

Maybe too soon to write off a 19 year old kid don't you think?

I agree people should stop banging on about  Toussaint. Rodriguez said Smith is our best back in pretty much every facet. With that said, he's supposedly quite promising. Let's hope he can stay healthy and improve. Maybe next year we'll see a lot of him. It's a crowded backfield, though.

nobody threw out the Big Lebowski line. I guess because it's not really an opinion, it's more of a dumbass thing.

That said, Toussaint looks to me to fill a niche that isn't currently occupied -- he's heavier than either Shaw or Smith -- he gives Rodriguez a different set of options, especially for blocking.

IIRC that FormerWolve stated that Fitz was the number 1 back coming out of camp before he got hurt so no offense but I'm going to trust FormerWolve and the coaching staff that Fitz could be the real deal.

Yeah there have been a lot of positive rumblings. With competition for PT being as fierce in the backfield as it is, though, and with Fitz being as young as he is, you can't help but think his injury has set him back some. Again, maybe next year, but then we'll have senior Shaw, senior Smith and Dee Hart, not to mention Hopkins. I could see Fitz breaking out as a monster rs junior year.

Doesn't he have 2 carries for about 60 yards and a touchdown?  Granted it was garbage time.  But besides him being injured, there is absolutely no evidence to suggest he is "an average back".  We all really have no idea.

Why am I even posting on this?  I feel dumber just thinking about this OP.

Yes, but if you watch those two carries he wasn't even touched on either carry.

We really haven't had the opportunity to see him play, which is unfortunate considering the positive things we've heard about him.   Maybe there will be time to see him play during the next couple of games or at least the bowl game.

Anyway you're also right about the OP.  Clearly he's got super-secret double extra special with cheese passes to all the practices *and* coaches' meetings.   We musn't doubt the man.

You do realize he was wearing a leg brace and was coming off an injury, don't you?

Making an assertion that Fitz is "an average back at best" makes as much sense as saying "Antonio Bass never amounted to anything." Even if you don't preface it with "I believe..."

Give it up with the eternal wishing that Mgoblueballer is gonna be some mysterious weapon that gets unleashed and saves the board the next 2 games. Yeah he is a bit of a douche, yeah he has has terrible timing, and yeah, I hope he can be 100% and get some forum skills. But there are many people that still need to get the delusions out of their head. He is an average poster at best, drunk or not. Our future at MGoBlog is not Mgoblueballer or Big Redacted. It's Boutros and Shredder. Get used to it.

I would not give up on jhackney; dude may not be 1K+ points but I laugh at every single one of his posts. Every single one. Also, Clarkie from Canada, dude brings it on every post. I actively seek out his posts to give him a posbang. He hasn't even posted in this thread but I still gave him a +1. The future is now, the posters are in place. These next 2 games, and the threads they spawn will be classic. Damn classic.

if Antonio is still selling steel. My wife worked with him at Alro...she is in sales too.

She said one day recently she came to work and was told he left the company. No one seemed to know where he went or if he was still with them in another capacity.

She said he seemed like a very pleasant young man while he was there.

I was hoping Avery turned into Woodson, Ezeh into Irons, Mouton into Gold (no pun intended), and Banks into Graham.

<br>Good luck with the other stuff though.

RR said today in his press conference smith is our best back right now, but fitz could provide a spark for us when he is 100%. too early to judge a man on 2 carries and being injured all year

This is a post from the OP a couple weeks ago:

mgoblueballer: This is the first film I have seen on Conway. It seems to me like he runs lazy routs (0:50), gives up too early on plays (0:55), does not have great hands (1:18), blocks like a pansy (1:22), is afraid to take a hit over the middle (1:30) and lacks elite speed (2:12).

Classy.
