Top 100 Recruit - Kahairi Fortt

I am a '04 alum who grew up in and few years ago moved back to Stamford, Conn. I was looking through next years top 100 recruits this past weekend (particularly the un-committed ones) and noticed a senior at my old high school is considering Michigan. This studs name is Kahairi Fortt and I went to the local football game just to confirm, HE IS A BEAST. Not a freshman starter, but with a little Brawis encouragement, he could be next Woodley or Foote. I have several connections with his high school football program, including being pretty good friends with a few of the defensive coaches. ESPN now says his top choices are UGA, MICH, TENN, PSU, and UNC with a USC thrown in for good measure. Ive heard that only the top two are real contenders. HERES THE QUESTION: CAN I DO ANYTHING (not in violation of NCAA rules) TO HELP HIM DECIDE TO GO TO MICHIGAN. Can i even talk to him about his choices? Over for diner? Obviously no new car... thoughts?

What is the sleeping arrangement at your house? If necesssary can he crash there on a pillow stuffed with 100's? If you have an extra room with ample 100's and a LCD of at least 55 inches that he can watch the games on + a LCD of at least 32 inches to play XBOX on while watching games... Then I say have him over for this meal. Otherwise, pretend like he went to your Rival HS and dont talk to him.

I would send him balloons with the colors of Maize and Blue.....like a whole dozen of them, and make sure they put xtra helium in them. Then I would send them to his house....like on a Tuesday afternoon. So when he gets home from practice they will be waiting for him. If he brings the balloons in his house....then you know he interested in Michigan. However, if you see a dozen blue and maze balloons floating over Stamford...then you will know he is not interested.
