Tony Drake & Stephen Hopkins weekly update

So Flower Mound Marcus and our very own Stephen Hopkins played the number one team in the state of Texas in the second round of the playoffs. It didn't go so well, to say the least. FM Marcus lost 41-17 while Hopkins ran the ball 20 times for 50 yards and no TD's. My apologies but I have little more info as I was unable to attend the game. This outcome is no surprise as Cedar Hill is number 1 in the state for a reason. On to Tony Drake... Skyline beat DeSoto 41-36. The Drake went 24 for 136 with a 43 yard TD run. He had 1 catch for 7 yards. On a side note: His performance was overshadowed by senior LSU recruit Mike Davis who had 7 catches for 263 yards (4 TD's) and 2 interceptions. So for the limited info but that is all I got. EDIT: Just got home from Southlake Carrol vs Allen double OT game at Cowboys Stadium. This was the #5 and #8 team in the state with approximately 40,000 people in attendance. An amazing atmosphere for HS football.
