TomVH: WR AJ Jordan, offer is in the mail
WR AJ Jordan, out of Trotwood, Ohio told me that he spoke with Rich Rodriguez and Tony Dews on Friday, and his offer is in the mail. Jordan is former teammates with current Wolverines Roy Roundtree, Mike Shaw, and Brandon Moore.
He's a 6-foot-2, 165-pound wide receiver that runs a 4.4 40. AJ really likes Michigan, and is going to try to make it up to Ann Arbor as soon as possible. He is running track right now, but he said he would really like to make it up for the Big House BBQ on May 21st.
AJ runs the 4X200, 4X400, and the 110m hurdles. For any track people out there, he runs the 110m hurdles in 14.3 seconds. And, if you remember this, Jordan's team took first in the 4X200 and 4x400.
He told me that Michigan is one of his favorites right now, and they have a good chance of landing him.

Thanks for the update Tom

Can we view this as pressure on Arnett to commit sooner by any chance, since we've been speculating that they would cap the WR's in this class at 2?
that this is a sign that the staff is pretty sure that Arnett WILL NOT be coming to UofM and that they are "moving on" to other targets.
NOTE: This is just my interpretation of the events in response to MGoChairman's post. I have no inside info at all.

4 Star to Scout with a lot of offers from the likes of Buffalo to Wisconsin and now Michigan.

thanks for the update tom, great to hear! he would be a GREAT pickup for the wolverines
I'll start soon. It's still too early, plans change.
...but you know that the event will be the next thing for everyone to obsess about on the board.
We've got quite a number of possession guys on the team, but not so many burners on the outside. Guys like Stonum will be a senior before he gets to campus, so he could be a much needed boost of speed for us at the position.
AJ, dude... eat a sandwich. Then commit to Michigan. Then eat like 4 more sandwiches.
He's about the sane size as Roy Roundtree was coming out of high school.
also needed a few extra trips to the buffet, IIRC.
If Mr. Jordan is going to play on the outside, my guess is that the coaches are going to try a couple of pounds on him... though it probably won't be anything that a couple of semesters of EEEEEEEEEE can't accomplish.
I don't disagree that he's too small. I just think it's funny the Trotwood receivers seem to be really skinny.
if all recruits came to Michigan with a degree from the Marvin Robinson School of OMG Shirtless Prison-Abs...
but in lieu of that, skinny is probably preferable to fat. They don't have to take off the bad stuff before adding the muscle, a la Will Campbell.
Your typos are insane!!!

After Barwis gets him on the chocolate milk.
I bet he ends up at a place that he thinks will throw the ball to the wideouts more often.
Nobody, but nobody, should be concerned this guy is 165 right now. He's not even a HS senior yet, and it's very likely he will put on additional weight even before he encounters the raspy, growling man-beast of doom. By the end of his freshman year here, he'll probably be 180-185. If you have his height, with that weight, and that speed, you're in good shape.
I know it is really early, but we haven't been able to crack Arnett's top teams yet. Today, per TomVH: # Still too early for this to matter RT @jcshurburtt WR DeAnthony Arnett says MSU is his slight leader over USC, ND, Tennessee and Cal. #
Considering he was just at our spring game, I'm going to say this is an ominous sign. His previous top 3 included MSU, ND and USC. Now Tennessee and Cal get the nod before we do? Considering all of the times he has been here? Probably time to consider some other targets.
We should, but we don't.
Next!
You might be right on Arnett, but hopefully some of these top recruits saw where BG went in the draft and realize that if you're a top talent at a widely-watched program like Michigan, you're going to get eyes on you no matter what.
Michigan's version of the spread may not yield a 1,000 yard receiver, but if you come to Michigan, you're going to get the chance to make big plays against Notre Dame and Ohio State every year in front of a national audience.
Trotwood = Michigan
