TomVH: Trai Turner Highlight Video
For those of you that didn't read it, I had an update on Trai Turner here.
I didn't mention this before, but he also has a teammate, Jonah Austin, who's 6-foot-5, and 315-pounds. Jonah also has interest in Michigan, and holds an offer as well.
If that wasn't enough, they have another teammate named Renaldo Thomas. Thomas is a 6-foot-4, 205-pound safety, and he also has an offer from Michigan.
I haven't spoken to Thomas, so I'm not sure if there's mutual interest, or not. I just wanted to make you aware.
Anyhow, here's Trai Turner's new highlight video:

he looks like a great RT prospect.

Why does his team run so many plays the other way when he can put down Defensive Linemen so well?

He is a bulldozer for sure. He doesn't appear to great foot speed but in HS when your twice the size of the other guys you don't need that yet. On his run blocking, his first step in his progression is backwards but that's a small issue. He appears to have good pop on first contact. I'm glad to see Carvin's commitment is helping with other recruits in the area.

What is his competition like?

have stumpy legs.

I liked that he was playing both sides of the line, he made some good tackles as well, nice one after the QB threw an interception. He looked like he has the kind of versatility that RR likes in all his players.

Do you know which side of the ball we're recruiting him for?
We're recruiting him for offense, but I think he said it could go either way.
He goes either way huh? I'm sure sweatervest will be after him since he's cool with that kind of lifestyle.

...Carvin Johnson at the 3:14 mark? I understand that the two are friends and am sure I read that they played against one another. Looks athletic enough and a regimented workout program could build this kid into a force at the next level. If he played against Rummel then we at least know the level of competition in that game was strong.
Yeah, that was Carvin. That's the tackle that led to their friendship.
We're a month late for Valentines, though.
We could use some of that at safety.
what an athlete
The DE he is blocking basically gets thrown.
Those are a pair of huge OT. For many of the undersized DEs in high school I feel like this team should own.
As for Trai, he looks like a bull. Keeps blocking and his feet moving. I like that. A little work on his pass blocking but that's expected out of high school. I really like him as a recruit
wow. all of those highlights from the first minute are intense. he knocked almost every D lineman back on his ass. awesome
I want to see him drive a DE all the way down the field and throw him over a fence. We can call him blindside.
both starting tackles that are 6'5" tall and both 300 lb++. We had two guys on our HS team that were about 260lbs back in the 80's, and I thought they were huge.....
He looks like he has a lot of potential. Sign him up....
