TomVH: Quick Darian Cooper Update *More* Leilon Willingham Time Change

Submitted by TomVH on

I talked to Darian Cooper briefly through text tonight. He told me he hasn't decided what school he's choosing yet. Normally I would dismiss that, but I think there might be some truth to it. I don't know if it means anything, just thought I would share.

**Denver LB Leilon Willingham rescheduled his announcement to Thursday because of the snow storm.

I live in Denver, and it's been between -15 and 0 degrees here the last 2 days (super icy roads).  Mostly all the local high schools cancelled school for tomorrow; therefore, he lost his venue and audience for the announcement.  I have a feeling the winning/losing coaches will know tomorrow who he decides, but then again, this may be the right excuse for him to use an extra 24 hours to deliberate.

Thank you very much Tom! In the little time that i have been on this site I have learned that you have an unbelieveable ability to gain the trust of many of these recruits and you have earned it. I think its great how you tell us what you can and keep what you know they want kept a secret to yourself. I know tomorrow will be a busy day for you and you will do a great job of keeping us informed so I wanted to say thank you for the work you have done up to this point, and all the hard work you will do for us and this university in the future.

If I had a dollar for every kid who claimed to be "wide open" just prior to his big announcement. Most kids know what they're gonna do but just play out the drama.

Darian, we have no depth at your position, two of the best d-line coaches in all of college football, the best academics and campus life of any of your options. Don't overthink it.

Cooper is the most important recruit left on the board - we need DT's more than anything else.  We have a decent OL class and can survive one more year without a TE recruit (plus we are recruiting 2 so I am optimistic we will get 1).
