TomVH: Quick Dallas Crawford Update (Positive)

Submitted by TomVH on

I spoke with a family member of commit DB Dallas Crawford after the game, and he told me Dallas is likely to stick with Michigan. Crawford still sees the opportunity to play early, and likes Michigan as a school. That's essentially what his coach told me a few weeks ago.

I was also told by Crawford's family member that WR Sammy Watkins step father thinks Sammy might back out on his Clemson commitment. I don't know if he would still consider Michigan if Rich Rodriguez is fired, so we'll have to wait and see. I don't believe that Sammy is qualified yet either, so he'll need to figure that out too.

Tom do you think Watkins to Miami now that Golden is making a huge push on recruits HE wants now that he is coach?

I just tweeted this, but Tony told me tonight that he will likely stay committed.

Of course all of this depends on a lot of different factors. If there is a coaching change, there needs to be mutual feelings from both sides. If there isn't a coaching change, then it doesn't matter.

Is watkins a pro style type WR recruit? Obviously a bunch think he would be excellent in RR system, and I'm curious if there were to be a CC would he still be viable?

Looking ahead: four new guys in the secondary (Crawford, Countess, Brown, and Hollowell); the return of Woolfolk, freshmen this year are sophmores next year.  This is good news especially with Countess committing last week, the secondary is looking good (or at least better) next year.

Crawford is obviously getting good advice as he should get instant playing time with Michigan next year.

Just want to let everyone know that Dee Hart was at the Bama game today. Obviously the issue is virtually moot if RR leaves. But I'd say Bama is in the lead for him now. Especially with Crowell leaning UGA.

Tom a certain paysite thinks a former player is going to coach this team now "if" Rich is let go.

My question is do we get in on some guys we lost? And add some new guys to the list? There is a stud linebacker from a state that starts with a G that I'm talking about.

Thank you Tom for restoring some good news on a bad day. The only other good news was that I was able drink a lot of beer today at the game (too bad it was bud light, here we go)
