TomVH: MSU Offers Branden Jackson

Submitted by TomVH on

Impeccable timing by Mark Dantonio, who just offered PA LB Branden Jackson. If you somehow missed the front page, and I don't know how you did, but here's my interview with Branden. Branden told me he had been hearing a lot from MSU, so this isn't out of the blue.

He's also been hearing from Louisville and Texas Tech quite a bit, so I would expect offers coming from them soon.

it wouldnt surprise me if Dantonio cared as much about keeping good players away from Michigan as he does signing them to MSU.

MSU does everything they can to get these guys to visit. at that point they have a platform to negatively recruit Michigan. whether MSU signs the kid or not, it's a win for them either way.

only thing RR can do to shut them up is to beat the shit out of them. lets hope Michigan gets it done this year.

Dumbtonio offers UM recruits.   Then he still neg recruits UM and holds the spread style against us.   Go Blue!!!

Yep. This is the first year that I can ever remember wanting to beat MSU every bit as much as I want to beat the Buckeyes, and the difference is Dantonio. I know I'm supposed to hate Tressel, but to be honest I just can't. Leaving aside the issue of whether or not he's been running a clean program, Tressel has never been anything other than respectful or downright boring when it comes to commenting on Michigan that I can recall. He just doesn't come across like a jackass to me. Dantonio is on another level, as is Danny Hope.

Branden says he is down with cool helmets and modern things, two things that Spartans definitely don't have.  what the hell are those brush things anyway?  and nothing can be more modern than an agricultural school.

Brendan said that he felt a connection with his position coach because he is into "modern things". I'm sure RR will come off the same way w/Brendan. I dont think that Dantonio really has that ability or feels comfortable speaking to a recruit from that angle. So it sounds like we've got a big leg up on MSU.
