Submitted by JohnnyBlue on

TE Matt Snyder tweets he will sign with Nebraska. Was pursued by Michigan recently.

So does this mean Hello :Clark and Wheatley? The timing of both Pickard and Snyder are rather odd if not, since both guys would be better served and seemed to want to go to Michigan over the schools they chose.

UM can't take Pickard, Snyder, Wheatley Jr. and Clark...and between the 4 I'd be more concerned if the first two had signed with UM at this point (they are not all going to wait until signing day to see if UM still has space for them).

Lend me your ears... Too much about what we might not get this week. Not enough about what we got right in the past 30-40 days and what lays ahead. Chins up. Expect the best. You have the best leaders. The champions will follow. Don't worry about the names. This staff will mold champions. It will happen.

At this point, it doesn't matter too much. Even in 2016, high end 2016 recruits are almost as likely to be ready to play as the non-elite 2015s we are chasing now. Harbaugh won't have any trouble filling next year's, even if we sign nobody else which won't happen. Come on Wheatley and Clark.

The Nebraska commits are definitely being vindictive in their public treatment of Michigan.  One is an outlier or a coincidence, but two is the beginning of a pattern.  2018 is going to come sooner than they think and Harbaugh has a long memory.

I agree with Tater...

I think these young guys are being vindictive towards Michigan.  Ir is just too bed that Maddison can't speak out, and let his side be told.

I also agreewith Tater, in that Harbaugh has a long memory.

GO BLUE.................

If you add Weber, Jefferson, Clark, Wheatley, Smith and Adams...

We'd currently be #20 in team rankings and we'd be ahead of MSU.

...for those of you that care about those things.

If we pulled in those 6 guys, I'd jump for joy.

ok.

(I'm not saying I disagree...but I don't understand why you speak so "matter of fact" when in reality you have no idea like the rest of us)

But you know what WILL happen? I WILL get out of this bed and go make myself some breakfast.

Chris Clark is a "silent" commit. Everyone needs to relax. Harbaugh will not settle for mediocrity. My uncle is a big Michigan booster. He knows important people high up within the school. Marshall is up in the air. Wheatley definitely going Blue!!!

He knew Harbaugh was coming here early December.... Everyone has a right to believe what they want..... Say what they want... The guy gives more money to the school than you will make in your lifetime. I would or put this information out there if I didn't know the facts.

are genuinely stunned (not kidding or exaggerating much) that Harbaugh was unable to be introduced, pick almost any player in the country & have the kid come crawling to UM by the sheer majesty that is Jim. I think many truly thought his hire so late in the cycle wouldn't matter & could break almost any bond these kids have forged with staffs for over a year. osu winning the NC didn't help, be honest, direct recruiting battles or not. I've repeated it a million times but I week again: If only they had more time. If only Harbaugh could have had kids visit when it wasn't 25 degrees outside. Etc. You really had to think of it as trading a recruiting class for Jim Harbaugh. I was happy to do it before we got him & I'm ok with the trade right now. I thought we'd get the numbers but a ton of 2-3* types. I didn't & don't think we get Weber or Clark back. I think Wheatley Jr was a "no" to now a possibility I'd call 50/50 at best. IMO, Marshall is not leaving the WC but in the tiny chance he does I think it's to us. Smith will very likely stay down South but I'd give our chances with him better than those listed above. I don't see a "big name" coming here from those left. I think it stings us a bit more because when Meyer took over osu he was allowed to go right away into recruiting & he has yanked some big kids out of the South very early & since. Heck, even msu is starting to genuinely get national attention now with most of their last 2 classes being Midwestern but solid players. Those twins that just flipped from UK, a damn fine HB out of Ohio, etc. I think it stings that this coach we feel had brought guaranteed success & optimism isn't slaying the recruiting world in a months time. End of cycle. Relationships built. Constant pressure to stick to your word more than heart in many cases. I expected exactly this but more numbers than it seems we'll get. Still, I take that trade! Harbaugh for a sub-par class that was going to be small anyway? Yes, please. 100% of the time.
