TomVH: LB Antonio Poole

Submitted by TomVH on
Michigan coaches just left Ohio LB Antonio Poole's house. Mattison was the main man here. Antonio has now decided that he will make his announcement tomorrow at his school. You might want to tune in for it.

Poole is maybe the highest rated Ohio prospect that has yet to commit to a school. He's a 4 star on scout #13 OLB, #26 OLB on Rivals, #41 OLB according to ESPN, he's 6'2 220ish outside linebacker from Cincinnati, OH. Would be a great pick up for this class.

... Because of Mattison -- the kid waivered a bit it seemed but CU's and A&M's loss is MICHIGAN's gain! I think the Staff as a Sum whole of the Parts is working out very, very well so far .....

so i am sure that this has been discussed somewhere, but i saw someone said that we will be running more of a 3-4 than a 4-3? just curious if there is any news on that front?

Coach Mattison is bringing a swagger and identity back to our D which we did not have for the past few years (even pre-RR years, perhaps dating back to 2006).  This is not to disregard BG who was a one-man wrecking crew in 2009.

We should never pull a scholarship from a Wolverine as long as he's fulfilling his duties and responsibilities as a member of the team and making acceptable progress toward his degree.

Ever.

... I missed all this news yesterday. A few other sites say he is going to take his offical visit to michigan this weekend, does that mean he is putting off his announcement until after the visit?
