What impresses me even more is that this video isn't to get more offers like most videos, this is purely just for the michigan fans.....

Love the vid, and Kellen is definitely talented and I see future success. Some things he will need to work on is his stance/read step, reading the O-Line and coverage drops. He definitely has the talent to become good at these things with good coaching and hard work. The gap assignments in the front 6,7,8 (depending on the package) make Kellen able to run free and just cause havoc in the backfield (which is what this defense is designed to let LB's do). But when he gets up in the college game it will be more complex than "here's your gap, run through it and mutilate the guy with ball." I'm probably stating the obvious for you X's and O's enthusiasts , but as a coach with a very similar defense I can tell you that this kid has got the right stuff and is very effective against the run, a solid tackler and has a freakish nose for who has the ball in traffic, something UM needs right now. Very excited to see this kid play! I have a feeling he might challenge for a bit of playing time at the  WILL backer spot in 2011 where they can utilize his great blitzing skills (before he bulks up for the SAM or MIKE spot in the future). Congrats to Kellen for accomplishing his dream of being a Wolverine!

Dude is just hungry to kill the ball handler. So many good plays. I obviously liked the sacks, but other than that I liked his overall awareness and that screen play he ruined. And it seems like he knows how to TACKLE. I hate it when people break tackles against our defense. Anyway, good for our defense, glad we got him.

some other linebackers that stand 6'1 or shorter in the LEAGUE:

Ray Lewis, larry foote, brendan ayanbadejo, gary brackett, london fletcher (mentioned above), aj hawk, ej henderson, dhani jones, teddy lehmen (yea, played well for jax this year), deandre levy, curtis lofton, jerrod mayo, paul pusluzny, lawrence timmons, jonathan vilma, dj williams, patrick willis.

That's a pretty damn good list.

I'm not concerned about his size. Put on a little weight and he'll have no issues.

Was looking at the tape and while I am very impressed with both his athleticism and play recognition there is one thing I feel is worth mentioning, a good portion of these highlights are composed of free blitzes on the quarterback caused by the offensive line being inexperienced and unable to pick up the blitz from a deffender in motion.
