OH BOY, Dee Hart working his magic.....
Mount St. Mary's hired a private equity CEO to be their president. You'll never guess what happened next.
OH BOY, Dee Hart working his magic.....
This is precisely one of the reasons why I was so interested in getting Hart into a "Hello: Demetrius Hart" post! Open up the floodgates!
A little Ricardo love too
That is all.
Dee Hart will be an early-enrollee.
What about HaHa? Early? Or not? A decision will have to come relatively soon, for an early enrollment.
I'm not one to get super excited for no reason but....
If anything, it's good to get the looks from these types of players.
... between your Subject line and your first sentence is great.
I agree, though, this is good, good news.
Lets get the Oil ready
I don't think most people on this board intend to use it in the fact that RR is a negative recruiter in any way. It's just funny to me, and most people because Danny Hope is an idiot... much like his choice of words after losing Roundtree.
Tiller said it, not Hope.
CTW82. Yet I find the comment, while misapplied to that particular reference, still holds water for Hope. I wonder who on his roster he's going to introduce RR to this year.
By they way it was Wilfred Brimley Tiller that started the snake oil crap.
Anybody else find it ironic that a guy who's avatar is women in lingerie bending over has a problem with things that are "demeaning?"
The snake oil bit is blatantly a joke and anyone that calls it "demeaning" obviously doesn't get it and probably never will. Get a sense of humor or find a way to get over it!
Now onto this Ha-Ha news...go get him big guy!
An acceptable mistake though since they are both rockin' the stache. Give it 15 years, take away the hair, add a few more pounds, and they could be brothers.
Purdue has a new coach? I am positive Tiller is still there.
Jesus......Hope lloks like he aged a dozen years in the few he's been at the helm in West Lafayette.
I can't believe you called Tiller and Hope a chach. They are the least chachi looking people I've ever seen. Do you know what that term means?
Chachi - Ridiculously in poor taste; CHEESEY, TRASHY, TACKY.
Purdue coaches are so white bread that chachi is the last adjective I would use to describe them.
look like this...
Free mustache rides for the ladies.
When most of the posters here use it, it is being used sarcastically.
...they are specifically making fun of Tiller's use of it. So, if it's demeaning to anyone, it's demeaning to Purdue coaches. But they deserve it.
Heat that shit up in the frying pan.
Thanks as always Tom.
This could get very interesting. Thanks for the update, you made my day that much better.
for all the talk about us having no chance even if he decommited, i always had a feeling that he had some serious interest even if it wasn't public.
Is this a case of "just keep allowing wide receivers to run free and give up huge yardage and we'll be fine?"
I hope so, because that's one of the things our defense is awesome at.
thanks for some good michigan football news today Tom. I would be excited to watch this kid play in the big house
If we beat PSU and Illinois at home while he's there to see it, I think our chances will be very good with him
I think if he sees how much the players enjoy being here, how excited they are for the future, and the clear fact that he would be starting next year will ultimately sell it for him.
Stadium bigger - check
starting to play night games so chance to be on primetime TV - check
stellar weight room and facilities for players - check
all my friends from highschool playing with me - priceless
If we get them to Ann Arbor for a visit, we have as good a chance as anyone.
If he's still taking visits, he's not really committed--especially when it's his second visit.
could this be like dee's stuff saying hes going to bama?
I don't rememer Dee ever paying money out of his own pocket to travel across the nation to go to any other schools. I could be wrong tho.
Ya i am sure he is paying his own way just like Dee has.../s
I know from confirmed sources that Dee paid his own way to come here. What are you trying to imply? Enjoy the negbangs hater.
I know from confirmed sources there is no reason to have confirmed sources for unofficial visits.
I know from confirmed sources that you are wrong
I know from my confirmed sources that you are wrong
Are you a confirmed source?
Yea I am a coach on the football team
On Alabama's team?
Thanks for listening to us all about the Demens for Obi switch. Now If you can stop playing3 man DL fronts and play our LB's a little further off the LOS, that would be great... Thanks. Great hair by the way....
Your title isn't "graduate assistant" is it? Cause we totally just got in trouble for that and it'd be cool if you weren't still "coaching" kthxbai.
an undergrad. don't know if you were joking or not but stupid all the same.
How in the world do you have that many negs? Even if I tried I couldn't get that many.
That's what happens when you start rumors about Mr. Brian Cook.
I am Doctor Remulak. (Anyone?)
I like the loyalty to your avatar
..But as the above poster says this is money out of his pocket. Dee went, got the whole trip paid for, enjoyed a weekend with his teammates, and allowed those coaches to give him the best they could to persuade him away from Michigan. Airline tickets are damn expensive nowadays...
You don't just fly across the country on an unofficial on your own dime. Also he never went to bama on an unofficial so this is huge news!
coming back our secondary would go from sieve to teflon. How can he not like the thought of being a four year starter? Bump Cam down to Mouton's spot and voila, impregnable.
Bump Cam to *spur* and I agree
I thought spur might be even better.
The Florida connection is really building. However I remain skeptical that a high profile kid like him will change his mind after being committed for so long. That usually only happens when a school gains another commitment from a kid deemed better. Could be just creating some drama. Not that a kid from Dr Phillips would ever do that, right Dee?
That seems like an expensive way to mess with people.
not to mention the dynamics of 1.) seeing your buddy go there and 2.) you gotta believe he's thinking about early playing time. Thanks, Tom, for you're great work. Getting Ha-Ha would be FAAAAAAANTASTIC!
when Dorsey has been committed to Florida for months. Granted that Florida let him go when he visited Michigan, but still.
Alabama got a boatload of DB's (6) in their 2009 class. Maybe Ha-Ha wants a chance to start and contribute -- and he will!
For Ha-Ha, Timmy Jernigan, and Dallas Crawford!
Give me some of that Florida speeeeeed, please!
bad blood between the schools that there will be absolute warfare in the trenches during the game. What with all the sanctions they'll be suffering from over-signing and agent scandals, however, the headline will read something like:
"Depleted Saban Troops Beg for New 3rd Quarter Mercy Rule As Michigan Romps in Dallas."
Does anyone else get the feeling that all these Dr Phillips kids have talked about all going to the same school and basically being half of the defense at michigan?
And i hope that is the case
I think there is only one guy from Dr. Phillips that has an offer that is not coming up, but he may, LaQuentin Smith. I wonder if he still has interest in us and are we still interested in him, since he was suppose to announce with Dee.
Thank you Tom. It would sure seem to me that the one thing we've got to offer recruits on D is the opportunity to compete for playing time immediately. Alabama? Not so much.
I'll bet RichRod hits that theme like a freaking drum when he's talking to the kids.
My, would he be an excellent addition to the defense...
I'm getting strange tingling sensations all over. No homo, NTTAWWT.
This could always change so just giving the obligatory don't get too excited yet, Debbie Downer post.
What do you expect? lol
Also important...He doesn't have dreads. How does everyone feel about this?
I'm fairly certain dominant recruits begin to grow hair like a freakin' Chia Pet upon commitment
I, For one, will make an exception to the lack of dreads in this case...
I hope Michigan lays some pipelines! GO BLUE!
Is "Ha Ha" his actual nickname or is that just a name the internet community has come up with?
I have read articles where Dee calls him Ha Ha so I would guess actual nickname
sry. stated above
Landing Hart was crucial. Landing Ha-Ha would be icing. Really sweet icing.
I love how Saban left MSU because he couldn't compete with UofM in state. Now he may not be able to compete with us for some of these recruits nationally. I love it.
the sweet, sweet chedda, yo!
he sees and hears the Big House rocking for Illinois like it was against Iowa in the 4th quarter. That removed all doubt for me that the boxes make a huge difference in decibel level. Kinda seemed like the noise alone would bring us back.
Anyone know if he plans on enrolling early? I mean he will have a great shot to start in the secondary regardless, but that would make it even easier.
I would do awful awful things to get HaHa. Unspeakable acts.
No sacrificing your little sister in the basement to the AMSHG...
Let anybody put their hoohoodilly in your haha...
but in reality i would hope that a second year memeber could grasp the system and build enough physical tools to be effective with a year in the system. HaHa looks great, but we pulled in a lot of defensive talent last year that didn't get much time to mature before being thrust onto the field. You have to figure that the game experience that these guys have seen plus an entire offseason will give them a major advantage over him. Hopefully enough of an advantage not only to start, but to play at a competitive level. Plus it would be nice to see some good talent come in and redshirt for once.
If we land HaHa I'll be laughing all the way to the bank.
...uhh, never mind that, wouldn't want to be confused with Bama or USC.
If we land HaHa I'll be laughing all the way to the bank.
You mean you'll be haha-ing all the way to the bank?
wow Tom just dropped the HAHA bomb! It all started with the future number 1 Ricardo Miller, look what a pipeline and winning can do! Keep it up Michigan, those who stay WILL be champions!!! HAHA
has allowed us some flexibility in taking guys late. It seems like we would always fill our class early and miss out on some of these 5 star and 4 star athletes that commit late. Maybe those early defections will be a blessing in disguise.
I love your insight into recruiting. You clearly speak to them regularly and know what's going on more than Tom.
Keep it up.
thought this would happen, next weeks game against penn state is very important. If we win all the recuirts will see a very nice crowd at the big house. We can offer a starting spot while also playing with alot of his former high school teammates which could only help are chances right?COME ON TEAM!!!
this game is in happy valley
this is good news. Getting him in the Big House gives a shot no matter how slim and that more than over a hundred schools in the country will get so I say come on down HaHa!! GO BLUE!!!
This made my night.
If we get Dix, I have a feeling all of the others from Phillips come by too. With those guys and some of the other stud recruits we could have a top 8 class. This would be wonderful.
I love nothing more than a bunch of kids coming together to college. It helps them transition. Lesser chance of them flaking out. Gives them a support system. I think we found Pahokee 2.0.
He must have noticed that Saban does not cast a reflection in the mirror and it made him nervous about signing anything with him.
So good to have you back Tom. Missed you these past days.
EDIT: So glad I had to double post. Sorry.
If I was a top ranked DB I'd drink that snake oil considering I'm coming in competing for PT whereas places like Alabama, Texas, Florida etc I'm just another top ranked recruit coming in and I may only see significant PT in 2 years at my position.
Having Cox on O and Dix on D can't be a bad thing
In so many ways.
Is it me, or does Patti look like he could be Mike Greenberg's son?
Apply snake oil liberally to where it hurts most, namly defense.
Thank you, that is all...almost.
Sounds good, but I would also add a little Sammy Watkins, Timmy Jernigan, Anthony Zettel and Dallas Crawford!
some good news around these boards. GO BLUE!
I like this combo recruiting. Dee and HaHa. Dallas and Sammy. any other package deals out there we can capitalize on?
Good advice Tom. Unfortunately, you know the routine: if Dix stays with Alabama, there will be numerous posts blaming RR or Gibson or GERG.
I wonder how long it will take Saban to step in and pressure Haha to not visit. It has been reported before that he does this with his recruits (although I do not have any links to post to support this).
Also in the Dr.Phillips posse visiting will be Chris Gallon 6'5 3* receiver. Here is what he said per Rivals
"I have to think it out but after I visit a school if I like it a lot, then I would do it," Gallon said. "Michigan, Tennessee, and Miami are schools I would really like an offer from, but mostly Michigan."
Could we go 3 for 3 after the Illinois game?? Dee, Ha-Ha and Gallon, one can only hope
If Clinton-Dix comes to U of M, that will be a wonderful for him and us. The thing that we gotta do as fans is stay patient either way. We're seeing this year that especially defensively there aren't quick fixes generally with lower classmen.
Pressure and time competing in the program will turn out the impact players. Wanting that quality depth across the board.
I know he's a great safety but what position can he switch to? OG, so he and BWC can be thinder and lightning of the OL? He could get to that second level even faster than Omameh...
We need to make it a point to get this man on campus. We need him, this Illinois game is huge. I don't know how much fans can help but I would say it would not hurt us to make HAHA aware of much we want him in the winged helmets. HAHA CHANT??????? Something lame, but seriously need this type of player next year. GO BLUE!!!!!
a chant of HAHA runs the risk of being mistaken for cackling with knowing glee. I hope that we can all someday cackle with knowing glee.
