Hope it doesn't affect fax machines.
I'VE HAD JUST ABOUT ENOUGH OF YOU SONNY
Hope it doesn't affect fax machines.
Thanks for the update Tom. Hoping that the snow storm is as bad as everyone thinks it will be, because a day off of work would be nice.
The anticipation of the storm was enough to close my office tomorrow. Now I can follow live blog all day...not that work would have stopped that
I bow to your power and greed
Don't mind a bit, waiting a little while. As long as young Mr. Clark is eventually greeted with a Hello: post into the M family
I don't get how announcing tomorrow morning is better in terms of Snowpocalypse. Won't we all be dead by then?
It won't be as bad tonight as tomorrow morning.
Ted Ginn Sr. must be behind this somehow
No the Boren's refused to plow the parking lot.
Damn Ted Ginn Sr.'s crazy weather powers. I'm sure Ted Senior magically had to seek shelter at Clark's home after being forced off the road during the most hellish snowstorm this world has ever seen.
I don't like the guy personally, but he has one hell of a weather manipulating machine.
had to contend with Ted Ginn Sr. on a number of occassions. The outcome was often in doubt!
Eastern, Central, Hawaiian, Mountain,..THIS IS ALL OUT OF ORDER ! chaos !
when 4* and 5* recruits make a production out of their announcements. They're the upper echelon of recruits that can make a significant impact on a program. But is it really necessary to have the "show" for the 3* recruits? You never here a 2* recruit making a big deal out of their announcement. Don't get me wrong, if the 3* recruit is waiting because he needs the time to make his decision because he's having a tough time with it I get that. But otherwise it just seems silly. If you know just say it, don't wait. All this moving times around for 3*'s just seems ridiculous.
Ridiculous for who, exactly? For you?
Frank Clark is (likely) announcing his commitment to play football at the University of Michigan tomorrow. This is a big day for him, his family, and his classmates. What does it matter how many stars he has? Is it OK for Dee Hart to make a public announcement to Michigan but not Frank Clark?
He wants the opportunity to share this with people, and I think that's awesome that he's so proud of his accomplishment. I hope every kid who ever commits to Michigan publicly announces how excited he is to go play football for us. And if he wants to reschedule it because the worst storm in 10 years goes through on his original day, that's OK with me too.
Also, isn't he announcing with the rest of the guys from his school? If so, it's really not even just him, it's a whole event that's being coordinated. Not that I disagree with Wolvy.
shouldn't be proud of his accomplishment or that he shouldn't share it with the people he cares about. I'm all for that. I respect that he's playing football for the University I love and have been around all my life. I will root for him to succeed. There's a difference, however, with celebrating an accomplishment and making a big public statement where dozens of people gather and you have hats on a table and you put on a show.
If stars don't matter then why do we have them? Clearly Rivals, Scout and ESPN think they matter and I bet they're not alone. What else should we use to assess talent level? If 3* recruits have these announcing events then why not have them for 2* recruits. Why not Matt Wile? Is their accomplishment any less? How about unranked players? I think, on some level, that it makes more sense for a 4* or a 5* since they are the players most likely to make a serious impact to a program. But even then I think it's a bit silly.
Poole didn't have some big announcement ceremony he just did it. Brennan Beyer didn't either. I like that. For me it's like guys doing the grandiose celebrations after they score. Do you really need to do that? I always like the guys, like Barry Sanders, who just handed the ball to the ref and walked off. Letting the accomplishment speak for itself. I think that's classy. But hey I'm a purist.
Ultimately it doesn't matter what I think. They're going to do what they want to do anyway. I'm just saying...
Send some of the snow to the Pacific NW!
